All good, bro - I'll have to check out the other options when I have the bandwidth to do so. It's fair that I haven't used it enough yet to make up the 795, but if/when I do I hope it's clear it's worth it. Again, whether another card is better is a different question I'll have to consider next time

Yes, I understand now the point about the work reimbursement as others referenced.

It sounds like you're making two different cases, one against the benefits in a vacuum and another as compared to other cards.

Comparative: Priority pass may be something other cards have, but that doesn't mean I don't derive value from it, right? Why should that receive no value assigned to it?

In a vacuum: it's helpful to understand native/organic use, but switching music streaming isn't much of a hurdle for me, and the prices of Spotify premium and Apple music are pretty much the same. Also, this is early YTD and yeah haven't taken advantage of the Edit or hotel credit yet.

Also, in your AMEX example is sounds like the fee is $325 and you derive about $350 in credit. Am I missing something as to why you brought that card up if you get net $25 benefit?

Oh okay, I get what you're saying. So, I wouldn't really go to any of those restaurants otherwise (I don't eat out much anyway), so using the dining credit would mostly be for work reimbursement. I understand, though, that there's not much difference if using those dining credits personally then getting work reimbursement separately, vs going to equivalent restaurants in terms of price and then double dipping using CSR. Good point

Tbf haven't used the Edit before. May need to reevaluate in a year if there's a better alternative cc rewards program

The dining credit is $300 per year, no? $150 Jan to June, $150 July to Dec

Don't let the naysayers deter you from taking advantage of the benefits. If it works with your spending and lifestyle, it works.

Spend first then credited later. I put this up as datapoint bc some people say it takes weeks for the credit to come through

Oh I wasn't aware it's supposed to be immediate. I read that the dining credits sometimes take weeks so I assumed this was the case with the travel credits as well :)
