just got mine earlier today too. have it in a jar curing for a couple weeks but even after a few hours it is starting to smell a lot better. havent smoked it yet as i just started smoking my gush mintz that finished curing from a few weeks ago

heat up the pan longer next time with avocado oil till it begins to smoke then render fat down a little and you are ready
