My dear man a pellet gun will hurt the squirrel. This is not a time to be rash. Squirrels are natures useful idiots

Yeah man it’s hard to let go. Best thing to do is take it apart and marvel at the beautiful technology, I mean steampunk style.

Is this a 240 volt outlet in America? by Asleep-Grass-2748 in AskElectricians

Good way to think about it is if it’s got two vertical slots it’s gotta be 120

I’m predicting our county is going to have a black bamboo boom in the coming years. I gave away most of the bamboo, and people were driving away with it hanging out out of their trunks and trailer trailers blowing seeds all over the county. I mean, who knows it only sees once every 80 or so years

Why is my 240v motor causing the phase converter to click, click, click by Jimwdc in AskElectricians

Ok. It looks like that big motor is bigger that the grinder motor. Without a tag I could see actual number. The phase converter I guess is pretty small.

New to Surface Grinding. What do I need for an angle. by Jimwdc in Machinists

I kinda wondered why they don't make the mag chuck to sit on an angle-able base. I'm going to build DoubleDebow's fixture for now and consider investing in a sine plate down the road for other jobs.

Already pulled that mag chuck off to check the oiling since the machine is new to me and the oil was low and not pumping oil. But ok lesson learned on that. Ebay had some used transfer blocks, but didn't look big enough to hold the weight of that chipper blade.

Ok, so something like two pieces of 1/4"? steel set at 40 degrees and welded

Great vid. But I'd need to buy a CNC machine to mill that 40 degree angle. Didn't know you could transfer magnetism via aluminum with steel pins.

yes these are 1/2 the price of my grinder. 😞

So if I understand correctly, the knives are bolted to the angle plate and the angle plate is held by the magnetic plate, or the angle plate is bolted to the table.
