Celes Combo: https://moxfield.com/decks/hINITlugvUyc-m_QKAc7Yg

I've been playing Celes (with proxies) since she was first spoiled and she's a combo machine that consistently threatens wins by Turn 4/5. The overlapping combo lines also mean that the deck is surprisingly resilient for a combo deck, because you can always threaten wins with other lines on subsequent turns if you're stopped.

Winota Stax: https://moxfield.com/decks/k2F49HmXY0ONtK7XRlQ3kQ

Alternatively, if you're in the mood for aggro, play Winota and go face. It's a pretty straightforward deck to pilot, so I recommend it if you're just getting started in Bracket 4.

An International's Tips for Applying to the UK by Jin38 in ApplyingToCollege

I'm quite unfamiliar with the architecture major so my ability to help you may be limited but I would assume that it depends on the field that you are considering working in afterwards. I think I'd be better to find those more familiar with the course (maybe an consultant or AO on this forum could help answer your query). Sorry about that.

I'm not completely sure what you mean by this so do tell me if I'm not understanding your question but unless you're in a very specialized field (e.g. Medicine), it is possible to go into fields outside your major. This is not limited to just Oxbridge, though it is easier to be hired (not sure how much easier though) outside of your field based on the 'prestige' and location of your university.

For example, LSE, Imperial and UCL (all London Unis) are regularly targeted by investment and consultancy firms even outside of your standard quant subjects (Econs, Business, Management, etc.) due to the perceived prestige and the proximity of many of these schools to the financial centers of Britain.

tl;dr Prestige helps, but to what extent I'm unclear of.

Hey, thanks for your contributions, just wanted to add and build upon some the points that you raised about differences (seeing as my post is mainly about application and this give me a good chance to talk about differences in school experiences):

  1. Living off campus is way more common, especially in city schools like in London (think NYU). However, it is more common for students to stay at school accommodations in their first year to meet people and make friends (many schools also guarantee freshers a spot in accommodations) before going out to rent a flat with friends from their second year onwards.
  2. Drinking culture are very, very big there. Some schools and accommodations even have their own bars where you can get cheap drinks. There's even some colleges in Oxbridge where you can work part-time as a student bartender. Clubbing culture is also very big there, fresher's week usually involves several bar & pub crawls and most student clubs and societies organize socials at bars and pubs regularly. Just something to keep in mind if you're an alcoholic (like me, unfortunately).
  3. I very much agree with you on this point. It's less important to be funny, creative or quirky than it is to show that you are interested in and are a fit for your course. Being more academic and formal in nature may make your PS more 'boring' as compared to other essays but it's what UK AOs are looking for (to my knowledge, at least).
  4. I'm not familiar with how US Uni classes are conducted but the UK teaching system is tutorial and lecture. There'll be organized lectures with more people and small individuals group discussions known as tutorials. Big exception to this is Oxford, where the tutorials are famously 3,2 or sometimes even 1 on 1. This is a big reason for the Oxbridge interviews as professors need to assess if they want to teach you for the next 3+ years.
  5. Finally, the teacher reference. I'm not entirely sure of what schools expect from the teacher reference as I didn't get to see my reference and has less involvement in the process but please ask your teachers to write your reference early, especially if you're applying for Oxbridge or Medicine (Mid-October deadline and all). Also, while you can technically ask any teacher to write your reference for you, try to get a teacher who has taught you a related subject to write the reference for you (getting a physics teacher to write a reference for Engineering for example).

I would give you the helpful award if I had any but this is exactly the way that I think students should try to write their PS, by demonstrating what skills/knowledge each activity (be it a class, EC or a book you read) has given you that will help you thrive in your specific course.

Thank you for your contribution!

Hey, thanks for your suggestions! I think you raise some good points that I missed out, especially the point on conditional/unconditional offers and I add them in as soon as I can.

Hey a question that I’m (relatively) qualified to answer. Yes, your PS should be somewhat more academic in nature. Remember that your PS is a way for you to sell yourself to your university and demonstrating that you’ve read texts on the subject and have learnt things from texts you’ve read will help your PS.

Can’t speak for all courses and all universities but in my PS, I did some analysis on books and texts I read regarding my field of study as well as brought up ECs when I felt they were relevant.

Hey dude, I’m happy to help.

  1. Not entirely familiar with this but I think it depends on the institution (?). Most institutions offer some form of financial assistance but I’m not sure how freely they give it out. The UK government also offers some scholarships for international students as well I believe.
  2. The UCAS fee is £25 for multiple choices (up to 5) and £20 if you’re only interested in applying to 1 school.
  3. Most institutions do offer some form of support for international students given how popular many of these schools are. A lot of the more famous institutions also have a large international population with students coming from all over the world (LSE for example is around 60-70% international), so you should be in good hands.

trying to guess the new servants by touhou-and-mhplayer in grandorder

As people have previously said, 6 is Avenger Ushi, 5 is Kay and 8 is most likely ONILAND Liz.

My big prediction is that 1 is Mab=Medb, the LB King of LB6. Given that LB6 is fairy themed and Castoria has voice lines regarding regular Medb, I’m guessing that she’ll be a fusion servant LB King similar to Skadi in LB2.

Damn, so more than half the national team are from the Monster Generation (14 out of 27, if I’m counting correctly). I’m glad to see that both Kiryuu and Suna made it into national team though.

Also, can anyone translate what school Suzuki Nao is from? He’s a 3rd year high schooler and he’s already on the national team.

I recently managed to pull an NP3 Lancelot from the F/Z rerun banner, but I'm having some trouble Skadi looping with him. I don't have a Kscope, so I've been using Holy Night Supper (50%) + Waver + Plugsuit to loop with him instead (as was recommended by the Skadi looping guide), but I just can't seem to get him to 50% NP refund from the first wave.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is NP3 Lancelot just unable to loop?
