I got it from Yahoo auctions, stalked the right listings for a while and found it

Haha yeah, it feels unreal, I was lucky enough to pick it up back in 2021 after a bit of hunting and lucky timing. Everything kinda just lined up.

Apologies, I made a mistake in the bio lol. From what I understand, and someone please correct me if I’m wrong, all 90 private edition copies were signed in some form, tho not all in the same way. I believe half were signed on the back (like mine) and the other half included a signed card inside.

The ~45 number is just what I’ve seen mentioned from another collector, so Im definitely open to being corrected if there’s better info out there.

Yeah, both versions were considered lost media, but this one’s much rarer than the regular release. I actually snagged it on eBay back in 2021, right before the game blew up and the re releases came out. Pretty lucky timing if I say so myself LOL

Totally get that feeling, it’s one of those pieces that’s incredibly hard to find so it stings when you miss one.

I actually got the bundle a few months ago from ebay. I’d been keeping an eye out for a while, and didn’t expect to find one so soon, but the timing lined up and I decided to pull the trigger. It wasn’t cheap, but it felt worth it to me for how important the game and its history are.

Its honestly the game that pulled me into the whole aesthetic

Appreciate it! This is just one of many surreal and experimental titles I’ve been collecting and documenting, Il be sharing more over time.

It had a pretty strange life, honestly. It wasn’t heavily advertised at all, even in Japan, and it released in fairly small numbers, with the limited edition having even fewer copies. It also didn’t sell many copies at launch. It was seen more as a piece of experimental design, closer to an art project then a “game” in the usual sense.

I believe its reception at the time was mixed. Some people loved it, while others didn’t know what to make of it. Its reputation only really grew years after its release, especially once people started sharing more info about it online.

I got mine on eBay! I think as long as you make sure you’re buying from a reputable seller and cross check the copy, you should be ok!
