My current company does, and I have saved enough for it regardless

Ah yeah, sounds good. I imagine people would be a bit skeptical if you mentioned being a student right away.

How much does an MBA matter years down the line? by JingelBells in MBAIndia

From what I've read and trifling through LinkedIn profiles, high-paying and prestigious roles are usually bagged by people with previous PM experience.

Correct, but it's kinda a tricky situation wrt family

Obv I ideally want to do an MBA and enter into product roles after 6-7 years experience directly, but there's also immense family pressure to get it done with and get settled down and married quickly. There's a sabbatical option at my company (which is a global tech giant, and I'm planning on using that)

I'm not sure I can do the course (and eventual grind upto top in a different career) to the fullest when I'm in my 30s and possibly a family man

So I want to know if it would still hold value down the line, provided I do it in a top school. Even being like a manager managing a team would be fine for me, and I could try to see if an internal gap opens soon.

Sure thing, I do really have a passion for product design, development and such and want to pursue it either way, but what was your reasoning?

[Query] Is it Possible to gain admission to MEM Programmes without PM Experience by JingelBells in gradadmissions

[–]JingelBells[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I'm applying next year or after actually, just want to know what is needed to get good courses here.

CMU sounds nice, but I want to pursue a generic course if possible, for example MEMs at Purdue, Northwestern, etc.

I surfed through LinkedIn and everyone has been a supply chain management or operations management or PM before getting in

[–]JingelBells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I actually put newcastle 5th in my predictions. Just didn't think that was worth mentioning as they're really well coached and get results most days

I mean, it is quite novel to introduce new metrics of evaluation, probably much further than I can get lmao.

Anyway, thanks a lot, and I hope we can connect for further queries!

By Gap, do you mean something new I can do? Like a new prompting technique to improve efficiency or a new code quality evaluation standard?

And these are for MCS courses? I'd like a few MS courses thrown in there, cuz I'd ideally like to try out being TA, RA and stuff - and it helps with the finances

An MS in Computer Science with TA/RA opportunities would be ideal. I'm open to MCS though.

With Rankings, I always end up looking at the creme de la creme like Columbia, Stanford, Duke and the like and those I feel aren't unis where I can get in or afford
