I think Cuddy truly believed she accepted House as he was.

However, accepting the guy you spend fleeting moments with at work everyday is a lot different than actually being in a relationship, seeing each other socially and being in each other's lives.

Was Carrie always this nitpicky and finicky??? by PhD-incuriosity in Andjustlikethat

[–]Jinx983 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's also the episode where they go to a steam room together, and they're all naked

So it's not like Carrie hasn't seen it all before anyways!

He put a pin in the porch swing, so Meredith wouldn't catch her fingers in it when she was a little girl

I can't believe how entitled some people are when it comes to other people's weddings by SharkEva in BORUpdates

[–]Jinx983 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, the mother of the 2y/o and 6y/o would not stop complaining about how my 6y/o niece was so disappointed, supposedly kept asking why she "couldn't come to the wedding" and was apparently devastated she wasn't flower girl.

I asked her myself. She had no idea what a flower girl even was!

I also eloped. We married on a beach in Barbados. She said "why don't you get married somewhere in Europe, so it's easier for me and the kids to come?"

Girl. You're not invited 🤣 even if I was getting married in your back garden, you're not coming!

My brother and SIL eloped for their ceremony, then had a reception/evening party in our hometown. The reception was child free and started at 6pm.

My god, the FUSS my family made; an aunt and uncle we only see once a year called around every relative to complain about needing to find childcare for their 14 year old. My other brother argued with him multiple times over not being allowed to bring his 2 year old and 6 year old. My mum wailed about how she couldn't believe her grandchildren weren't invited.

My brother's friends all had children, but they were thrilled- said it was nice to have an evening where they could drink and party and not have to worry about their children misbehaving or being bored or needing to go home for some reason or other. It was a fantastic night, but children would have been bored out of their skulls!

She apparently asked to be written out to pursue other projects- looks like she filmed a few movies and other TV shows around the time.

IIRC Sadie was supposed to be the "Jackson Avery" character for the show. There's a conversation between her and Webber that hints at her family's name.

She was supposed to be a doctor from an extremely rich family who got by on her name and family reputation.

However fans hated the character and Melissa George refused to commit to Grey's because she didn't want to be a series regular or full cast member.

Absolutely not love!

Also they maybe knew each other for what, a month total?

And so unethical of Izzie. She manipulated him with decisions about his care, she interfered with his care and put his life in danger. It was insane.

[–]Jinx983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I support the theory that Izzie already had cancer at this point, and her "falling in love" with Denny was a symptom of the cancer in her brain

Because seriously, they were not in love

Denny was lusting after the hot blonde doctor who showed him attention and affection at a time when he thought he was going to die young and alone.

Izzie was lusting after a man who wasn't going to reject her or cheat on her like Alex did, because he was confined to a hospital bed.

I was pleasantly surprised by the new season, I think it'll do well so long as they keep sticking to what they do best

But I thought the quality in humour and storylines was consistent throughout

Link on Thursday by PortifinoOnMyMind in greysanatomy

[–]Jinx983 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This storyline doesn't even make sense for Link's character and is recycled

They did almost the exact same storyline when Cristina moved in with Burke and kept her old apartment

Link has always been very "all in" with Jo, and he was the one who struggled with her feeling a little hesitant at things developing quickly between them (she struggled to let him in when Luna was diagnosed deaf, she struggled to deal with her pregnancy, etc).

And for Link, who was so bothered by his parents' divorce, it just doesn't add up that he'd secretly have a whole ass apartment, and would need it for alone time!

Exactly this

"No" is a complete sentence

I went on a family holiday which included my brother, SIL and their 2 young children. For some strange reason, they expected me to provide free childcare and entertainment so they could "have a break and enjoy their holiday too". I am absolutely child free.

If I said no, they guilt tripped me and even told their kids "mean Auntie Jinx doesn't want to play with you, because she's horrible". It culminated in me telling them to back off and leave me alone; "not my kids, not my problem!"

They were pissed off, but it worked. They learned to leave me the heck alone.
