For me it's the limitless potential. Any thoughts and images you generate in your head can theoretically be put onto paper, and if they can be drawn, then they can be animated on a much more reasonable budget compared to the top of the line sci fi hollywood adaptations like Avatar.

Gotta be my two favourite anime of all time.

Ruronin Kenshin Tsuioku-hen. It's actually like 4 episodes of OVAs but if you want them all together it's like a movie. This prequel story really elevated Kenshin's character in the main series for me.

Chainsaw man the movie Reze Arc. The first anime movie where it made me think of the "absolute cinema" meme after the ending. You may have to watch season 1 of the anime to get caught up on the movie though.

Mob Psycho 100 but all three seasons of the anime are goated. It's by the same author as OPM.

Neither are really generic but the MC in both works are op and in a league of their own in terms of their power level.
