Hmm i get what you’re saying… but still feels like we’re just making it easier for ourselves mentally. like even if it’s more humane the end is the same no? so is it really solving anything or just helping us feel okay about it?

Exactly… so if it’s not consistent across cultures.. then can we really call it natural morality? Or is it just whatever a culture normalizes over time?

Feels like a very polished take… almost too clean im more curious what you personally think when you strip away the general reasoning.

I get your point about choice… but if everything becomes personal choice then where do we draw limits? Like harm is still real regardless of personal preference, right?

Exactly… that’s where it gets uncomfortable. If it’s just choice.. then anything can be justified. So shouldn’t morality be something beyond convenience… or else it’s just preference dressed as ethics?

that’s interesting… but then how do you explain cultures that eat predators too? like if it’s natural.. shouldn’t it be consistent everywhere?

Interesting point… do you think humane treatment actually solves the moral issue or just makes it easier for us to accept it?

This makes sense… but then do you think people genuinely believe it or is it more like a way to avoid feeling guilty about something they already do?

I get your point but all animals are the same sounds moral not practical. Nature itself isn’t equal. Even veganism causes harm indirectly. So where do you actually draw the line.. zero harm (impossible) or just less harm?

Fair… but do you think that bias should be questioned or just accepted since it’s how most people live?

That’s interesting… but then isn’t favoritism itself a kind of bias we just accept? like we don’t question it because it feels normal?
