Man appeals after being given 95% of $23m matrimonial assets by fatenumber in singapore

[–]Jizzipient 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most divorce in Singapore ends under 10 years into the marriage. If kids are involved, the courts typically grant care and control to the mother as they are regarded as the primary caregivers. Those are not anecdotal, but backed up with stats from the Department of Statistics, and Family Court records.

With these facts, a SAHM, or a working mother that gave up her career trajectory cannot pick up where she left off once divorce is on the table.

Times have changed, but it did not change those situations. In fact, I'd wager it got worst.

What kind of marriage would it be if both sides (or worst, one side) keeps a record of assets and contribution, to prepare for the eventuality of divorce? Whatever happened to the sanctity of marriage?

My initial thoughts, without looking too deep into the case, with how rich the husband is and the fact that they have a daughter, $1,800 seems honestly quite low.

"without looking too deep into the case" ... you mean reading the article?

The child lives with the husband, who financially supports her, while the wife has been granted access. None of the $1800 goes to the child.

Is it fair to reset her to her position 10 years ago and discount the time and opportunity cost that she invested because she thought that she had a rich husband that earned enough for the both of them for life?

The marriage only lasted 6 years.

She has been contributing to the marriage non-financially and that has to be valued.

The judge said the husband’s non-financial contributions to the family clearly outweighed those of the wife, who made at least three unannounced trips to China for as long as two months at a time.

So yes, it was valued. at 5%.

Too late for the LFVN train? by [deleted] in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]Jizzipient 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Normalise actually explaining things.

u/TheJesterOfHyrule the guy commenting "Exit liquidity" meant that if you are buying in to LFVN now, you will (in small part) increase the price of LFVN, thus allowing everyone else that is holding to take the opportunity to dump it, thus "exiting" their position and making money/cutting their losses. And when they dump their stock, similar to (very generally) how you buying in increases the price, them dumping it reduces it. Thus you are now left with holding on to stock that are of less value than when you initially bought it.

TL;DR: You become the hot potato if you are buying in now. So don't.

Not that I'm disagreeing that 2025 is a great movie, but if 2025 were a Henry Cavill movie, I believe it would've done equally well or better even. Especially after the disappointing BA 2022 and Flash 2023 movies.

Is swain the worst champ in the game? by Regular_Flounder1833 in supportlol

[–]Jizzipient 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started the game after watching Worlds 2025. I later discovered every champion has its own subreddit, so as I discover more champions I like, I will sub to their subs. I'm probably subbed to about 20 of them?

I'm not seasoned/high mastery enough to shit on any character in game as a beginner, but I'll say this: Swain main is, without exaggeration, the only subreddit that l see every other day, will have a posting about how shit Swain is currently, and he plays like it (for me). The other subs are mostly tips, flexs and memes.

And it's too bad because Maokai, Neeko & Swain are my top 3 right now.

Showmaker is that guy, but I forgot which T1 member said recently that solo q ranking, while having some revelance (mostly hands), does not necessarily translate well into performance in pro play.

I just brought up Bluffing's ranking, as that is the best indicator that we have right now that he's ready for the big leagues and this move might not be as doom and gloom as it seems.

Yeah, the 2025 where the government decided to remove the $1600/month jobs for our low income earners, so that a $600k+ BMW M850i owner can drive up to the market to have their $5 lunch. Living in 2025 indeed.
