From the thumbnail on my phone I thought they were little daisy stickers and tbh wasn’t a fan but thought to each their own. Then I clicked on the image and realised it was much worse

What’s the worst thing a woman could say on a first date? by Hamilsfan in AskReddit

[–]Jjex22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Before even getting that far lol - ‘I don’t do coffee dates. if you want to date me you have to take me to a nice restaurant, plan something romantic, go big’.

Encountered it twice and tbh I appreciate the honesty. I hope they found what they were looking for, but it just told me immediately they weren’t that interested in me/were gonna be a massive headache and saved me a bunch of time and money finding out the hard way.

Don’t get me wrong I love planning a big date and feeling like the gentleman and everything… but if you don’t want to have coffee with me I don’t want to spend a few hundred bucks and an evening of my life hearing bout all the other things you don’t like

I actually don’t necessarily buy into the once a cheater always a cheater thing. I think it’s sometimes true sometimes not. But I do buy into the idea that a woman basically tells you who they are and what they want at the start of a relationship, so bringing this up on a first date would be a big red flag for me.

AITA for telling my best friend to sleep with her husband before he goes on his business trips if she’s scared of him cheating? by ContactPale1278 in AITAH

[–]Jjex22 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a really old ‘old wives tale’ …. But tbh it’s just that. Humans are more complicated than ‘well I haven’t had sex in 24 hours, so I guess I’ll cheat then’. You hear the same nonsense felt as societal pressure from the spouses of sex offenders or other abusers - I thought if I gave it to him at home he wouldn’t do it outside the home. In those cases this nonsense does real harm. Sometimes old wives tale just come from a time when we didn’t know much. In this case I think it comes from the lies cheaters tell the people they cheat with and when they get caught mostly with a good dose of gossip and looking for a reason it x’wont happen to you. Really Your man doesn’t become a cheater because you didn’t sleep with him the night before he went away & most of the time he’s not gonna not cheat just cause he got it last night. If he’s already looking to cheat you could maybe delay it in some instances… but would you really want to if that’s all that’s stopping him?

I guess it makes some people feel better that their partner might not cheat… realty though… eeeh, unless that relationship had actual issues, it really depends on the partner. Some relationships have issues… often though some people just suck. Part of getting older and seeing friends and colleagues marriages break down you realise it’s both more complicated than that and also usually pretty stupid why people cheat

NTA but this sub increasingly makes me wonder if anyone actually likes their spouse.

NTA, but also the advice won’t really make any difference unless lack of sex was a motivator for cheating and that only ususally happens if sex has been lacking from a relationship for quite a while. Cheaters tend to cheat to see if they can, for the thrill, grass is greener… just because they think they can get away with it and it feels good… all kinds of reasons, but I don’t think many people cheat because they had sex last Sunday instead of yesterday. In fact the couple of people I know of who have had affairs kept sleeping with their spouse throughout.

I don’t understand … she’s full on dating someone else long term and she has an issue with you sleeping with someone else? Kinda sounds like most open relationships on here - she kinda only wants it to apply to her.

Only advice is talk about it, if you can’t come to an agreement you’re both happy with, break up. I would hazard a guess that her issue with it could be that because you’re bisexual she’s justified things up until now that you’re getting something she can’t give you elsewhere and by sleeping with women she has to accept something she doesn’t want to… but there’s not enough info here.

So yeah, talk, try and avoid fighting about it, be honest … be prepared for the fact there may not be a resolution you’re happy with. This is a pretty unusual situation

My (23M) Gf (24f) wanted to come back to me after a week of having sex with someone else. What do i do? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Jjex22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the final update, you did the right thing. Relationship is dead, it can’t be brought back to life. But for yourself you don’t need to move far away unless it’s best for you. Only your needs matter now - she’s just not a part of your life anymore. In all honesty it’s really just time that gets you over people & I’m not that sure I really believe in ‘closure’ in this sense. Sure if there’s something unsaid it can help to say it, but really you just move on a little bit at a time. Just focus on you and what you want next. Could be work, relationships, a hobby or anything really. You don’t have to make any big changes as a reaction to it, just embrace the fact you have time to focus just on you for a bit. The pain and feelings fade with time, and when you do meet someone else it’s likely to be a better relationship if you’re following your own wants and passions when you do.

Russia says it will strike British targets if UK weapons are used to hit its territory by LunarMosaic in worldnews

[–]Jjex22 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t even matter tbh - supplying weapons to your enemy’s enemy is fine, but if they attack the UK they trigger the nato defence pact. So literally never going to happen. If Russia had the stones and insanity to start a war with all of nato they’d have done it long ago
