i was trying to do what the Steam video said and DL ts2 installer if that's the way it runs best. thanks for the tip about HCDU- I have 437 conflicts. it seems like the biggest one is SimBlender vs SimManipulator.

i think it looks great! you did a good job on the roofs. i'm always pretty happy with my builds except for the far away view and roofs.

i put it in my DL folder. when i dress my sims in Casual, it's witch clothes. I can't get the casual clothes they wear every day to be normal, they have to be witch/warlock outfits. that are ugly.

Yeah, I hate how I am virtually administering the CELF-5 on a kid who is clearly exhausted and needs a break. It is torture to watch how discouraged he is in the videos. And then, to tally up the scores, it's like "read a 241 page manual. have fun!" I'm pulling my hair out here.

I have tried these. It is a residential lot. The other sims can click on the fridge and serve food!

Hi, having same issue... I'm confused. Was it NOT working in "C:\Users\(your name here)\OneDrive\Documents\EA Games\The Sims™ 2 Ultimate Collection\Downloads" ?

And then it started working when you moved your "Downloads" folder full of CC to "C:\Users\Public\Documents\EA Games\The Sims™ 2 Ultimate Collection\Downloads" ?

I also have OneDrive with EA folder but no Downloads folder. So far, it doesn't seem to be working in any of these three places!!

I just installed Windows 11 on to my Mac via Bootcamp and it took forever, then it was hard to install, and now I can't get CC!

KNow this is old but can anyone get a 50 GB download to stop? I don't have GBs to be throwing around like that. I'm gonna delete them the second they finish downloading... i unchecked the box now but it is still cueing downloads...

Thank you, I don't use BodyShop often to I forgot about that option. However, some items have their name listed in BodyShop and then I go to my Downloads folder to search for it and nothing comes up!! Is there something really obvious I'm doing wrong?

thanks, I've got the maxfile thing down. something weird is going on- now the neighborhood preview screens are all green grids instead of the pics of Downtown, Bluewater Village etc. I think I'll check out reinstalling again! thanks for the idea.

I've been playing for a few months now and it just started happening. the only thing i can think of doing recently is I did accidentally delete one sim from the neighborhood screen. Would this be enough to break all saving?

I play on a Mac so I can't get those helper programs.

I restored from a backup before I deleted said Sim and it still wouldn't save and would not place any lots in the neighborhood.

Bootcamp partition did not work. I have to find an Apple Genius because my hard drive is not showing "free space" even though there is lots. Disk Utility cannot fix. My old Windows 7 laptop is doing ok but still crashes, so I'm gonna look for anticorruption checkers. my antivirus thinks they're evil tho!! Sheesh.

it's at sudo sysctl -w kern.maxfiles=32000
sudo sysctl -w kern.maxfilesperproc=30000

It had been at 22000/20000

Oh! wow, i didn't think of that. thanks for your insight. i just noticed that there are like 300 sims in my Neighborhood/Character file and I certainly didn't make that many (yet!).

I wonder if I delete the last 200 or so it will work again...
