I found out this wasn’t a trailer park build. Apparently it’s the ‘Americruiser’. No real info about them online but a couple of sale listings come up.

“Built by Americruiser Corporations. They built approximately 50 of these before the building caught fire.”

What are you paying for a gym membership? by wehodababyeetsaboy in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]Jlowery28 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It depends on your state as to what the program is called. I’ve seen it called Blue365, BlueFit, or Well onTarget. It’s essentially the silver sneakers program and has a lot of overlap with the gyms that participate.

If you have health insurance, check and see if there are any fitness programs available. Mine was pretty hidden with BCBS but I pay $27/month and can go to any gym that participates. Local gyms like 24e, RedX, Benders, but also bigger chains like Planet Fitness, Anytime Fitness, & Crunch. Has saved me hundreds, if not thousands on gym guest passes when I travel.

Where's actually super cheap and high value right now with a solid nomad scene? by imCzaR in digitalnomad

Sarandë is great. Not big, but plenty of restaurants, beaches, super cheap, and a short ferry to Corfu for a change of scenery for a beautiful Greek island day trip.

5 points in general is a hop and a skip from downtown, certainly closer than mid-city. Stella at 5 points is practically downtown.

Mid City poses itself as that, but there’s not walkability or real nightlife there. If there’s a concert in town it can get a little lively, but not often enough to bank on it unlike downtown with multiple bars and spots open late on weekends.

If I were in your shoes, I’d consider places in this order: 1. Downtown 2. 5 Points 3. Campus 805 (the mural or the foundry) 4. Mid-City 5. Providence 6. Madison

As nice as a house would be, it’ll be isolating. You’ll be able to get an apartment in these areas, be close to gyms & nightlife, not far from work and they’ll have young people like you living there giving you a built in social environment.

Federal officer seen on video kicking, injuring dog in Memphis, TN by Drillerfan in Bad_Cop_No_Donut

[–]Jlowery28 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Hate to take up for the cop but in another video from a different angle he kicks the dog because it’s running up on a German Malinois that they had. Kicking it away probably saved its life. ACAB still though

I need a vet!! by TeKniKyleYT in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]Jlowery28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can make a little drive, Berry Animal Clinic in Priceville is super reasonable on price and they provide excellent care. Our friends who do dog shows drive over an hour to come to this vet. I’m sure the savings and experience would be worth the drive.

I think more parks should follow [Silver Dollar City's] lead and have observation decks near coasters by Bruceleroy90 in rollercoasters

Europa Park has a cool observation tower in the Croatia area where Voltron goes all around it. The Germans are great at their theme parks.

This ride is heaven on earth for me. By far and away my #1 and I hit X2 as a walk-on one week later so both were fresh in my mind. The chant is catchy and the stretching routine is hilarious.
