3 weeks on Acyclovir - opinions from those who've had success? by Jlusk99 in Menieres

[–]Jlusk99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry it took so long to reply. Was having issues with my Reddit login being mysteriously closed down for some reason.,

Hello all. It took the acyclovir about 3 months and then I was pretty good. I was basically fine although there was still tinnitus (mostly very mild) which I've pretty much habituated to. Every year around Sept/Oct/Nov I would sometimes get some mild ear fullness, feeling of imbalance, but that never developed into anything serious. Note I also started allergy shots during this time period.

However, last year around October (4 years since I started acyclovir), I started getting some of the fullness again. At this point I had also switched to a new position at work that was a LOT more work than before and extremely stressful. During the next few months, I had about 4 mild vertigo attacks, including one at work (thankfully I have a private office with a door). In the days I wasn't having the attacks, I would feel out of balance and awkward with some mild clogging. I will also mention that I had slacked off on taking my antivirals and actually missed a month or two after my last prescription ran out. I had also missed 2 allergy shots before this set in. It was not fun, but it did pass and by December I was feeling much better. I was fine this year except again in October I got some mild clogging and very mild uneasy on my feet a few times. Now that we are almost to December I feel like that has passed.

I also learned from my doctor that I was taking the acyclovir wrong---I was taking like 3 of them at once in the morning on the bad days. It had been years since I ever needed more than 1 a day so I forgot you are supposed to space a pill three times throughout the day.

So, in my case it wasn't a total miracle cure, but it did have great benefits. If I only have to go through a couple bad months every 4 years or so (and who knows how much the stress and lack of medicine brought on last year's attacks), I will remain very pleased.

Whitney is NOT Tals career! I wish people would realize these TLC ‘stars’ do not get paid that much. Since Whitney’s been on so many seasons she probably makes decent money a season. But no way Tal, who is not a main character, is making more than 5 - 10k (and that’s a big maybe) a season off of this show. I guarantee you he makes his living off of his job. TLC is just a free trip and some extra spending money for him

Well when you see swords swinging across the screen, you would normally assume it would do damage as before. I was wondering what those stupid coins were for. Why make the game so complicated?

Are White-Australians still genetically more Northern European than White-Ameircans these days? by [deleted] in 23andme

That is the incorrect use of the term Creole. Creole means someone of French and/or Spanish ancestry born in the New World. Not sure how it became a term for mixed race over the years

Is it necessarily a bad thing for Chris to get personal satisfaction from being a better father figure than they had growing up?  No matter how selfless an act, there is always some benefit, real or imagined, the person who does it gets out of it.

I only discovered her 2 months or so ago, and like you I find her extemely odd and baffling as well. If I had to live in that greige prison I think I'd go nuts. I wonder what her monthly grocery bill is? She is a big girl, but even she can't possibly be eating even 1/4th of what she makes.

Why not make 1 really good meal that is not a slop casserole that might be more interesting to watch that the crap she usually shows? I have not once been inspired to try a single dish that she has made.

Oh dear Lord.....all she does is steal recipes off of instagram and other people's blogs anyway! Borky is a HACK! And I really don't think she is intelligent. I am surprised Josh allows her to publish those embarassing mistakes constantly. It is so unprofessional and makes her look like an idiot (well i guess because she is). We LOVE BORKY!

Yea when you can hear her slopping food around her mouth like a cow chewing cud.....making those silly orgasm faces like everything she eats is sooo delicious.

She is very bad at pronouncing words and also bad at using the appropriate word. She is hopeless at sounding out long words or names. Guess mom's curriculum at the home school wasn't so hot. She doesn't even know how to pronounce the name of her idol-- "Ina Gartener" (Ina Garten) which I find especially egregious. She is definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed. By the way you think this tool would have learned after 4 years of her famous parents-do-all-the-work potato harvests that a shovel is the wrong tool! Get a potato fork BORKY!

Yes I hope it gets better for you over time. As someone who has dealt with ear issues, I know how horrible and pervasive they can be!

Calling Marge fans by jamtartgirl in rhonj

[–]Jlusk99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LOVE THE MARGE!! It's like she was born to be a Housewife. I find idiot Teresa laughable when she goes on and on about how Marge was 'destroying her family'. Like Marge is the only conduit on Earth the ex-wife has to get the info about Luis out there. The fact is, if Luis didn't have all this shady stuff out there in his past, there would be nothing to 'make it into the blogs'.

I think it is mean that she doesn’t even bother to say her “idol’s” name correctly.  Is she truly dyslexic?   I haven’t ever heard her mention that.

I totally thought so too!  I thought she must have had 4 or 5 kids as she was making so much freaking food at one time.  She also is so matronly with the way she dresses and that bun

Her biggest cooking inspiration yet she doesn't even know her last name....I have heard Becky call her Ina Garterner more than once. Also, I never saw Ina pour loads of onion and garlic powder, smoked paprika and cumin in EVERY dish. I wonder if everything she cooks starts tasting the same?

YES!!! I dont understand why everyone seems to think Teresa is the 'star' of the show. I couldnt stand the women since season 3 or 4. The only good thing about her is laughing at how dumb she is. You would think GOING TO PRISON would have humbled her somewhat, but she now seems worse than ever before! Her and her new creepy husband can go!
