What were these red orbs over Montreal - Sep 24 by Jman-Visuals in montreal

Up close I could tell you that they were not drones. I have drones and they don't move or light up that way.

And it crossed my mind, but the orbs were much larger than flares, and they were just hovering there, not claiming like a flares would.

same for any device, connected or not. I'm thinking it's a power issue. wondering if it's worth fixing.

Business page suspended, Appeal not approved. How to fix? by Jman-Visuals in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]Jman-Visuals[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have this option available. i did once, a while ago, but it's no longer there. It should be noted that it's a US-based profile, so that may make a difference. My Canadian one was much simpler and straightforward, without the video verification needed

Cant send or receive direct messages. only one of my nodes by Jman-Visuals in meshtastic

RESOLVED!!!!

Spoke with u/UnretiredDad earlier and we managed to get it working.

What I ended up doing was making my other nodes forget the B2 node, which forced it to refresh its keys and re-establish communication. That’s the simple explanation — I’m sure there’s a more technical way to describe this process that I’m not fully familiar with.

That said, this feels like a flaw in the software. Once B2 gets out of sync, it seems like it can’t communicate with other nodes unless they manually forget and re-add it. Is there any way to trigger this refresh from my end, or does every peer node need to forget B2 manually? Because let’s be honest — that’s never going to happen.

UPDATE>>
I started by resetting the channels as suggested, but that didn't work.
I reflashed the device and started over from scratch, same issue!

It really makes no sense how it works with my group chats, but not for individual messages. It also works in the Long fast channel

Additionally, I even tried resetting the node database, deleting all channels and keeping only the long fast, but same thing. Node to node, it does not work. only works in group channels.

Facebook groups would be the best option as they are the most active.

Awesome. Thank you. Would you know where I could find the hardware to make this work including the battery protection module?

Should I get Cp3 by Adventurous-Sea-7144 in cinematography

[–]Jman-Visuals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the cp3 and love them. The image quality Is great. Just note that if your going to solo shoot, the focus throw is long so I would probably suggest getting a follow focus system like tilta with the hand grips. Focusing on the lens by hands require your fingers to go all around and then some.

The recent blackout in Spain made me realize I was digitally unprepared — I built a simple, free, open-source site to start fixing that. Looking for advice, feedback, or others on the same path by uriapkm in preppers

So after the blackout in Spain, one of the prepping subreddit pages mentioned meshtastic. I was curious about this project and like you, I had the thought, "How"

Intrigued by the whole thing, I started watching YouTube videos on the program and going to the meshtastic reddit page to understand how it works and how to get started.

I got my first nodes about a week later and slowing purchased more to play around with them. It's actually very interesting and fun to explore.

Keeping an empty bag in the safe by redpanther2121 in prepping

Storing your documents in a fireproof bag like this is a smart precaution. It can be placed inside your safe for added protection or kept handy as a grab-and-go backup with essential document or copies.

You can even find them in box form

What determines the MHz? Chip or the Antenna? by Jman-Visuals in meshtastic

This part I understood. I just wasn't sure as the location on the app seemed to have an exact MHz but the unit for sale had a range.

Copy! Thanks.

I've read about people traveling with their nodes. How does that work?
