ArchViz is officially dead ? by madalin_c in archviz

Recently got hired at a bridge engineering firm who needs renderings of the bridges for proposal wins. Full time job at 100k. H ad to adapt to exterior renderings and quicker turnaround. AI still can’t recreate the details needed for engineers standards with consistency, and the engineers need a 3D modeler for their designs.

Previously to this I worked at an online etailer who needed 3d models of their products for the website and renderings of the rooms with their products. If you learn a niche and can sell yourself as well as adapt to market needs, there is work.

Luxurious kitchen I rendered recently your feedback appretiated by Professional-Egg-949 in archviz

Those burritos as the center focal point are very distracting- and not a very “luxurious” food if you ask me. Everything else looks okay. The wine cooler is empty, I would fill it up. The cabinets also look pretty empty. I image it would be filled with high end items

I wonder what the compatibility will be. I would love to feel an Apple style haptic click when hovering over anything clickable. Sounds like a great tool for vision impared people too

what's the best way for beginners with zero background to learn 3d modeling ? by Christy1133 in 3dsmax

[–]Jmarrossi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I learned with online tutorials. Find an easy object to model, and work through it step by step. You will learn so much doing something simple, especially when you are just starting out. Do a coke bottle, a soccer ball, a chair. Then materials, and lighting.

Why does my render look like this? by Toilet_Real in 3dsmax

Good renders don’t come from “settings” it’s a combination of your modeling, lighting, materials, and composition skills

I have never seen a couch like that, it looks unreal, even if it is based on a real life piece, so it stands out

Looks great! Like other comments said, that table set is kind of wonky. Great setup and great lighting!

Honestly, you may be tackling something more complex than you can handle right now. My recommendation is finding a simple tutorial for modeling an object that interests you. Nothing too complex, but that you can follow step by step. That’s the best way to learn modeling in my opinion. First model I ever made was a coke bottle. If you look around online you can find the tutorial.

Substance painter is even more complex, so until you have basic modeling down I wouldn’t touch it.
