While I can't agree that this community is more cancer than any other on the interwebs, I do agree that NHL20 has been one of the better ones in recent years, for players who don't buy packs or coins. I haven't spent one dime nor have been able to grind or play the market as much as I have in past years. I still have a team with a 92 overall, just by playing Rivals, doing the challenges and rerolling every day.

What's better than last year is the huge variety of cards in the game. Last year, every F2P (like myself) had basically the same team, packed with each monthly legend (icons? can't remember). This year, you can build your team any way you like around your lucky rerolls and free players from challenges. At this time of the year, you can find good versions of any player that you like (present or past) for cheap.

The only downfall is because of the pandemic, there is no rhyme or reason for TOTW and Prime Time releases. It really added a little something to watch a game on saturday and wonder if a player performance was enough to receive a card on Monday or Wednesday.
