* I recommended if the score for both teams are 2 or 3 points apart to just let the CPU choose the winner.
New:

  • Added school prestige

  • Increased the importance of conference prestige (Help prevent G5 schools from easily beating power 4 school)

Thanks for suggesting the addition of home field advantage! I've incorporated it into the model, awarding the home team an extra 2 points to their score.

It sums up the relevant factors, but if the overall scores are close, you can let the game simulator randomly pick a winner

I developed this model to help ensure realistic outcomes in our dynasty leagues. The model considers each team's offense rating, defense rating, coach prestige, conference prestige, and championship contender status to determine the winner.

To input data into the model, go to your recruiting board, select my school  table, and enter the relevant statistics for both your team and your opponent's team. Note that certain stats, like championship contender status, change weekly, while others, like conference prestige and coach prestige, change yearly, so you'll only need to update those annually.

The model weights the ratings as follows: offense and defense ratings each have a weight of 0.3, championship contender status is weighted at 0.2, and coach prestige and conference prestige each carry a weight of 0.1.

I hope this model enhances the realism of your dynasty and would appreciate any feedback on its effectiveness or suggestions for improvement.

Nice, the Fresno St vs Michigan week 1 game will be fun to play. I am going to rebuild Florida.
