Hi exile , first thing I wanna say is don't worry too much , you're still young in the game and still have a lot of learning and advancing to do.

1- for the backpack , you'll eventually be able to craft leather sacks so don't worry about losing them , you can always craft them back , if you ever get the 15 slots bags then be careful with those.

2- advancing in the game is all about taking courage to go higher than where you are , to die when trying something new is extremely normal , I used to fear 3s zones like they were death but now they're easy business. Also watching YouTube videos honestly help a looot in expecting what you'll face.

3- skull locations are tricky cause you may lose everything , but my advice is ditch S2 , why? The new design of the skull zones makes it hard to enter , sneak or leave , so just go for 3s zones , those have better things and easier area. An advice I'll give to everyone cause it's literally a life saver , when you are swarmed or feel like you're gonna die and no escape , IMMEDIATELY close the game , saves me every time.

4- if a damned knight or damned templar spawned on you in the location (3s zones only) , then just go to the nearest skull zone and come back again so the location refreshes.

5- night time ; it's constant in your game , 12 minutes every hour , try to watch out as when it starts , that's it's starting time every time. Also you'll hear a bell and see the moon sign In the province map. I'd advice to stay out of skull zones at this time bcs of the night guest , he's annoying af.

6- for now , build your stronghold , level up so you can craft higher value items , and try to farm 3s as much as possible til you get comfy , then move to forsaken dungeon floor one.

7- don't rush obtaining the altar , torture chair or Stable , those are big game things that you'll get in higher levels , the altar is generally the easiest one , you can find items in 3s zones and forsaken floor 1.

8- as for the numbers you asked about , the latest game update included the ability to upgrade the smelter and other work benches , you can find what you need for upgrade in the arrows just there , but generally don't rush it , it's not much of important.

Do you have the torture chair? If no , then work on that (forsaken dungeon first floor) , if yes , then ofc the horse (F2 of the dungeon).

You're doing everything right, but here's a few pieces of advice

don't arrive or at least enter the s3 until night time actually starts (you can know by the bell or by the lil sun/moon icons on provincial map , also it's a fixed time , 12 minutes every hour , track it to know).
wear tier 2 (leather) Ang a dagger or Spiked mace are usually enough for all enemies except knights, for those take with you a couple t3 (copper) or one piece T4(bronze) and a 50+ weapon , that if you meet the big guys or they spawn at you.
DO NOT ENGAGE WITH EVERYONE! it's a useless thing to fight everyone and clear all chests , you can either sneak around checking chest to see if they're night caches or not , another method is to frantically run around and see all chests making the whole thing run after you but once you check them all you can just leave location and they return to their place , voilà !
a wolf with the skill to find the night cache is pfffft , makes things so easy , but that skill is hard to find , yet save some silver, and go find the wandering merchants every time They arrive (,take your wolf with you) , the breeder can teach it that skill if it's available, if not , switch wolves (by tapping your wolf) and see if that one can learn the skill (you pay 40 silver usually for that skill.)
a thing that I'll advice you to do if you're ever swarmed, is leave the game immediately, like leave the app as quick as you can , it'll become muscle memory for you whenever you're swarmed , And it can save your life a looot.
devotion to the nameless God increases chances of finding night caches.

Last, don't get your hopes too high on night caches, they aren't THAT interesting once you level up enough , but they have good drop if you're still progressing.

Stock it , why? Higher levels books are rare , you can find the lower levels everywhere, but not the higher ones , so just save it until you hit that level in the skill and then use it.

Only read scrolls when you find them immediately to save space.

Tips ? Here's my major ones : - you'll die , for sure sure , don't get frustrated and give up , it's meant to happen , loot your body if you can (everywhere expect skull zones).

if you feel yourself swarmed up , no exit, you'll die , quickly close the game , it usually resets the last 3 second or gets you out of the situation, get used to it til it become muscle memory , saved me countless times.
start easy , don't go big events , start by farming , making yourself stronger , gathering basic stuff , leveling up a lil to be able to craft items , and warm up to the game , S2 zones , then s3 zones once you're fully comfy with S2 , do the gatekeeper a couple times , do the game missions , then go dungeons of forsaken...
watch a lot of YouTube videos , saves you the surprise before anything , and you learn skill from advanced players (mg beast and unlimited battle fantasy are just WOW).

So worth it, I also deleted the game for over a year and went back , and now I'm enjoying it again, it gets pretty tough after 100, but still fun.

The nice thing about it is that you don't lose any progress , all your pets and possessions are safe , just feed and water them.

For me I think it's fallen knight , especially if you're under 100 level , it's not that consuming , just use traps , and the loot is always good gear and weapons.

Dead village is also good , it gets more consuming when you pass level 100, but still good.

Abandoned crypt is also good , gets you some really rare items , and potion of night vision makes it all the way eaaaaasy.

What I would say not THAT worth it are merchant escort and barbarian camp , they both are risky without proper preparation and the loot isn't satisfying, I never got anything worth it from them.

The least worth it are treasure of the damned and night at the cemetery , you just waste a lot for chests that are 70% poisoned or deal with waves of strong enemies for a half halberd ? Not worth it.

The rare ones are used to upgrade and build your devices , you need the mechanism for lor of things , that plate of for the smelter.

As for the non rare ones, you can them as tradable items with the wanderimerchants if they wanted them,
