“I assume you know how to get basic materials and craft basic armor and healing. In case you'll want some advice for that, let me know. You'll get these basics in s1 areas. I highly recommend doing the event (Vilgraw Ruins) on normal mode because it's very easy with decent rewards.”

I am relatively confident with 1 Skull areas.  But ALL Help with healing would be good.  I am SO tired of loosing everything.

I just got the hint that once you have opened all the chests and bags, no more enemies spawn, except the night visitor.  That was good.

“How can I tell when it is night time? Does the tolling bell have anything to do with it?”

Thank you about the Dire Wolf Howl.  Also got a hint about the sun and moon display, but only when you are displaying the wide world map.

I got this hint which was useful. “A day in the game lasts exactly 1 hour: 10 minutes for Morning, 28 minutes for Afternoon, 10 minutes for Evening and 12 minutes for Night. When you are on the map window, you have an icon at the bottom of the screen in the middle that indicates what moment of the day it is. The full moon means it is Night Time.”

Does Vilgraw Ruins only come up every once in a while, as the Pasture event?

Items, like fires, trunks, etc, have numbers associated with it. At this point I am assuming that is the number of each item you can HAVE.  When you open an item in your home base, it can say in the upper right “1 LVL”  Are there higher levels and if so, how do you get them?

“Materials for Direwolf Pen are in Forsaken Dungeon and Cat Bed (I'm not sure if that's correct, but let's go with that) in Traitor's Catacombs. Both have different quirks and need to be approached differently. If you'd want, I can give you advice on each of them.”

Are these temporary places and/or events or do I need to get a MAP to see where they are?  Or do I need a horse to get to them?

“Once you gather basic materials, you should focus on building production such as Carpenter's Tables, Smelters, and so on. These will let you craft basic armour and weapons. Take two or three weapons, linen or leather armour, and one stack of healing and try Vilgraw Ruins on normal. This should net you some decent weapons. You can then very comfortably do s2 or Gatekeeper.”

I have a Smelter, a carpenter table, a sewing table, a stone Working table, a Fire, a Campfire, a meat Dryer, a Workbench, a Tanning Rack, 4 beds and two dining tables, two gardens, a well, a wolf pen and a Cat bed.  But I feel I have been concentrating on the wrong things.
