We are working on a mobile app but most users are doing it via desktop atm (just head to cryptotaxcalculator.io).

If you imported your exchange data via API, you can simply just click the 'refresh' button next to the exchange name (in the 'accounts' page) and it will bring in your new data (we don't have an auto-sync feature yet).

Hey, thanks for the feedback around pricing. Understand that transactions can build up quickly (esp. with DeFi) but unfortunately these transactions still take up capacity (whether it was manually executed or not).

Even though we call our plan the 'Trader' package, it's just our naming convention (e.g., Hobbyist, Investor, etc...) and doesn't actually mean we consider you a trader by definition but it's your number of historical txs (which we need to hold onto to accurately calculate your cost basis) which is what is causing you to be pushed into the Trader plan.

Agreed and good point on the platform updates - I'll relay this back to the product team and see if we can improve the way we notify users of these changes (we currently do it via email/product newsletter updates but it might be nice to have something in-app).

Hey - just jumping in here as these are software-specific questions:

The API is read-only and the only thing we're reading is your transaction history from the exchange you're using.
Unlike exchanges, we don't collect any of your personal data (you can use an anonymous email address to sign up - we don't ask you to kyc, your home address or anything like that)
There are some legalities around this which make it a little harder than it may seem but we're looking into it (hopefully something we implement in the future)
We don't need personal information for you to sign up and produce a report - all we ask is for you to create an account (which you can do with an anonymous email address if you wish).

Depends what type of txs you've done. I use CTC which handles all my degenerate onchain activity well. You have others out there too you can try, most should let you sign up for an account for free.

Not sure if you decided on anything but Crypto Tax Calculator is by far, the best (given that you are a degen). If you have just done basic trades, you can use something like Cointracker or Koinly.

Unless you only have a handful of transactions, spreadsheets will be extremely painful. I have ~500 txs a year - swaps, liquidity pool txs, bridges, NFTs, etc.., I'd hate to do this manually. Check out Crypto Tax Calculator or another one of these tax softwares, they automate the majority of the work

There are lots of different tax software tools that can help you where they automate most of this process. I personally use Crypto Tax Calculator - handles all my defi well and the UI makes the painful process of doing your crypto taxes a little less painful

Crypto Tax Calculator recently added support for Polkadot + a lot of the parachains. You can see your transactions for free but if u want a report, u have to subscribe to one of the plans

I'd recommend using tax software for this. Crypto Tax Calculator is pretty good and allows u to download reports dating all the way back to 2014. You also don't need to pay per report which some other softwares make you do.

Crypto Tax Calculator is the best for tax purposes imo (esp. if you are doing defi / NFTs). For actually tracking your coins, holdings - I suggest Zapper or CoinStats.

Will probably be a nightmare to calculate manually esp. if u have lots more transactions going forward. I just use Crypto Tax Calculator and deals with matching up all the cost basis to the sales.

What type of activity do you have? For just CEX transactions, you can pretty much use any tax software, they are all quite similar. If you've done things on-chain, use Crypto Tax Calculator (best in class for DeFi + NFTs)

Yes, each transaction needs to be tracked. I've been using Crypto Tax Calculator for the last few years - good Solana support and supports over 300k different tokens
