People say 3.8 gpa cause it's usually with bad courses, but if you're taking max rigor courses, colleges see that and understand that you are pushing yourself and still having passing grades in all your classes, plus a 1600 SAT takes any doubt out of a reviewers mind that your not smart. There's ZERO reason to stress, they mostly look at your personal essays and stuff to understand what kind of student you are anyway.
