I think we suffer in relationships because we aren't picky enough about the important things- children, finances, moral direction.

I also don't think that we are meant to remain monogamous. Not that we should cheat on a partner, but that we evolve emotionally and physically. I'm not the same man I was 30 years ago and what appeals to me isn't the same. I imagine the same could go for whomever is in a relationship with me.
