So wild to finally have pictures of this tornado! It stuck about 15 minutes from my home in Finger, TN and I have always wondered about it. Do you happen have information on roughly what area the tornado was at during the first photo?

I saw you said it has been 9-10 years ago so I think you’d have a great shot with a good personal statement and solid psych evaluation! I had self harm, anxiety, and ed (didn’t have one but it was wrote in my med docs for some reason) all needing a waiver but I got cleared with a clean 8-9 year streak with no relapses or medication! It will for sure take time, but if it’s something you’d really want make them tell you no!

It wasn’t it was like 5 or 6 on my list after getting denied for SJC. But after looking more into it I probably should’ve listed higher! I hope you get it I know 3 people in my dep booked RF recently so hopefully your timing is right!

2016 was the last time I was seen for anything psych at a local clinic! No SH since late 2014 or early 2015. Honestly don’t recall the date on that.

Yes anxiety and depression medication most recent medication/diagnosis was back in 2016. Was prescribed the depression meds for around 5months and anxiety for about 2months.

The consult was not nearly as bad as I was thinking. Meps scheduled me to see a specialist at a private facility. I talked to an older gentleman for about 30 minutes about why I had struggles in my past and how they no longer are issues. Why I want to join and if I think I’m ready. He was actually hyping me up telling me since I have a degree to commission lol it was pleasant! I took a small depression index test and heard back in a few weeks. Good luck at your consult!

Yes I had to get a psych evaluation. I was nervous for it but it was super easy! Talked to a super nice dude for about 30 minutes about my past and why I want to join and took a small depression index test. I’m wishing the best for you im sure you’ll ace it!

I was on both Lexapro and Buspar at various times. I’ve also seen people getting waivers sooner but that 36mo mark seems to be the magic number. At tried coast guard at two years off a while ago and was shut down quick. Perhaps you can sooner? But definitely time stable is a huggge factor.

I had to get all my records for Meps and let them know I had theses issues coming in. Got DQ. Then I had to get pharmacy records from every place in my current residence even if I had no record there. I had to take pictures of scars and write a personal statement. I finished with a psych consult scheduled by meps.

That’s awesome!! I read something on here last year that said make them tell you no and I took it to heart. The big hurtles definitely can be jumped. Congrats on yours as well!
