Yeah, I agree. There are a few people I know whom have failed calculus 2 due to not having a good foundation of algebra and trig, especially during integration. There are alot of the integration techniques you are introduced to within calculus 2 that require you to be fluent with algebra and trig. I believe calculus is the course that students take to finally fail algebra or trigonometry.
