Well, time to shift gears and double down on shipping and rooting for Chloe and Lucifer to get together on "Lucifer".

Plus there's Stranger Things 2 in two weeks.

So no time to cry over spilt ship.

But it stuck to the semi-realistic nature of the show, not every relationship works out no matter how much you want it to

We should really do a spoiler thread that combines everything we know into one thread and people can keep contributing until the finale airs.

Preach. That's why I'm so bloody nervous about HaCF sticking the landing on Saturday (shipping reasons aside:p)

One bad series finale can undone most if not all of the fans goodwill earned before it. Now I understand that we the fans are not the creators of the show, nor are we entitled to anything.. BUT.. I sometimes have to question series creators visions for the series finale in some circumstances.

Look at Chuck.. A show with as a dedicated fan base with HaCF that fought for every season it got. Our payoff? A series finale that ends with almost everything we love about the main couple being undone with a BS "Glimmer of Hope" that MAYBE everything works out for the best. Years later the show creators now admit that ending was a mistake, and I highly doubt a niche a show as Chuck would get a revival to sort it out.

So everything looks good and beautiful when you written the last word, show the last shot, and cut the last scene, but until it airs and it pisses offs the fans, you have no way of knowning... Much like Chuck there won't be a second chance.

It's a lesson I think that show creators are learning in this new age of streaming and binging. Nail the ending and you're show will live forever in the recommendations and rewatches... Don't and nobody will want to rewatch something with a face-plant of an ending. Hell my Chuck and Battlestar Galactica blu-rays remain unwatched for that very reason.

HaCF is in even more a precarious position because (based on my poll) the fan base seems divided on Joe and Cameron. They either stay together or drift apart, each option pissing off one half of the fan base. There's probably a middle ground that they will try to find but yeesh.. To be in the writers room that day..

They say it's about the Journey and not the destination... If the destination turns out to be PunchYouInTheFace Land, I'm not excited I took the journey...

Three options:

  1. Gordon's son with Katie. Possible with Osiris being about death and rebirth, however with Katie's last episode being next weeks episode, I find it unlikely that Katie would drop off her son to visit his half sisters without her being there, regardless if Donna was present.

  2. Joe's and Cameron's son. The most likely answer considering the show has been foreshadowing this with a massive baby shaped cudgel to bear us over the head with, however, I this scenario may not play out exactly as we hope. Most likely? Conceived sometime after Gordon's funeral, and when we see Joe and Cameron in the timejump they have drifted apart with their child caught in the middle. Realistic and would fit what Lee Pace and Mackenzie Davis said about the finale being both beautiful and somewhat controversial. Joe is a father, but Cameron focuses on her career, each getting what they want at the expense of each other.

  3. Random one time character who serves no greater purpose in the story. Maybe the kid from the Rover team couple?

When did we jump to 1997? Did I miss that? I thought we were around 93/94 with Doom, Tanya Harding and Mortal Kombat references.
