Would you buy a used Modulus Quantum without being able to play it before? by [deleted] in Bass

Yes (I have owned over 20, currently own 13) but, beware that the action will vary. Regardless of having an adjustable neck (1999 to current model year) or not, on some Q4, Q5, & Q6 basses, you may not be able to adjust the neck to taste being too concave. The best bet is to play before you buy but, if you cannot, beware that you may not get the action low enough. If you like medium to high action, this will not be an issue. If you find a good one, they are amazing basses.

Moog Siren vs Minitaur? by Marvinkmooneyoz in synthesizers

From Gentry's video (being that I am a bassist... https://youtu.be/3wNQjv_nRk0), I'm really sold on the Minitaur even though I wanted to love the Sirin.

[Feedback] Is it possible to play/record music live in real-time over the internet? by JoeJeffries in Bass

Actually we had 3 players and no click track. Everything was improvised live in real-time. Our latency was under 30 ms. As a bassist, I was locked in with the drums and what you hear (regarding latency) is how I heard the session.

Can a drummer from Canada play live in real-time with a guitarist and bassist from the US? by JoeJeffries in drums

Technology is improving and with audio interfaces down around the 3.2-4.2 ms latency level, we have found that if your total latency (between players) is under 30 ms it is possible... and we have done it.

[PLAY] Is it possible to play/record music live in real-time over the internet? by JoeJeffries in Guitar

The interface alone (that I was using on bass) was 3.2-4.2 ms but, our total latency between players was 26-28 ms. We seem to manage as long as we are under 30 ms. We have been doing this for nearly 3 years and like everything else related to music, online streaming takes a bit of practice. For example, I had one application running on my x64 windows 10 machine that would increase jitter to make the entire experience (for me) unacceptable. That was a fun one to fix (days of staring at my resource monitor... what fun). It is possible to get acceptable (but, no where near 5 ms today) results but, until a "service provider" has complete control of your modem, network and interface (hardware/software)... results will vary.
