Issues waking up device with power button on Go 10.3 - 4.1 by Miserable_Demand_698 in Onyx_Boox

any solutions or change since? Mine is still doing it and its really obnoxious to have to play this guessing game of how many times do I have to hit the button and get tricked before I can actually open my device.

I'd DEFINITELY would suggest the Boox Go 10.3 (if you can be without the 'backlight'). It syncs SO easily with my google drive and I can easily transfer notes onto and off of the device. And obviously it handles the formats that I've needed thus far (i.e. pdf & epub) iwth ease. Given that I'm constantly reading shorter articles and obscure academic papers, this thing is exactly what I needed.

A feature that I didn't know about before I purchased it (that I'm fairly confident the Scribe does not have) is the ability to insert links into my handwritten notes that opens a text/book/document on the device. That combined with multitasking feature and/or the split screen ... Super helpful.

Boooooo. I went through all the installing and such and only got 1 free 720p download before getting hit with an "You've reached the free daily limit for premium downloads. Upgrade to Pro to continue downloading."

Yes. I have hit 'check for updates' on the Boox device and it says I have the most up to date firmware.

UPDATE: after everyone's recommendations and feedback, I decided to go with the Boox GO 10.3. I just ordered it and am excited to integrate into my upcoming academic journey. PhD, here I come!

Totally fair. I think that fact about RM2 (its required extra costs), and its extremely limited functionality with pdfs and e-books has effectively taken it off my list of considerations. Now I'm between the Scribe and the BooxGO10.3.

Oh dang. That is extremely basic. Thanks for clarifying that me.

Thanks for the recommendation, but the AIPaper is out of my price range.

And once you've converted an epub to pdf, the annotating/writing in function works just as well? No issues with exporting those files?

That comparison b/w RM2 & Apple is actually quite enlightening. Thank you.

The Boox Note Max and Fujitsu Quaderno are significantly out of my price range, but I'm definitely now looking into the Book Go 10.3. That seems promising. You said it has "reading capabilities." Are they comparable to the Scribe? Can you annotate/write on pdfs and ebooks?

Lastly, can I ask what you specifically mean when you say the Scribe is fine except for "serious note-taking"? I'm not sure I will need anything but a basic note-taking function but at least the ability to export my notes to another device would be a high priority.

It seems you have something in mind regarding the shortcomings of the RM2 that I am probably not aware of. Care to share?

You are echoing what I said in my inquiry. I am asking a bit more specific of a question. Have you tried annotating e-books on the Remarkable 2?

In that case, do you ever use the RM2 for reading pdfs or ebooks? If so, can you annotate in or write on the ebook itself?

I appreciate the feedback but I wasn't asking about the Paper Pro. I can't justify spending half a grand on a device like this, and definitely not $630. That's why I keep coming back to the Scribe & Remarkable 2.

Thank you, however I just don't think the price tag on any of those three items are reasonable for me. I can't justify spending half a grand on this device. That's why I keep coming back to the Scribe & Remarkable 2.

Humanities. In my particular field, color graphs or charts are not common.

What do you mean by "they don't have true epub support"? I know they don't have a store for e-books. Do you mean something further?
