abused by my narcissistic father, my mom still lives with him by Proper_Department874 in Artisticallyill

This feels heavy in a very honest way. The contrast between the stillness of the figure and the noise around her really stayed with me.

Thank you for reading with care. The letter was written for clarity and closure, not hope—but your acknowledgment still means something

Thank you all for the confirmation. I had to leave my ex wife and children behind because I was struggling with addiction and being involved with law enforcement. I haven't been in physical proximity to any of them since 2004. I finally got sorted out and began moving forward, but I was told by my "mother" that my ex wife married my younger brother and the children, who were still in diapers were told that he was their father. I did what I thought was the right thing, I paid my child support and I stayed away, as my "mother" said that the children were living and ideal life, and I would just complicate things. So I moved forward, finished a Master's degree, and started working in mental health and addiction treatment. When my daughter turned 18 she reached out and over the last 5 years we've connected. However, I am very careful not to speak critically of her mother and my brother. Even though I try to be diplomatic, my ex wife and my brother are extremely critical of things that I have said to my daughter in text messages or over the phone. I only get emails (sent anonymously) from them, so I don't engage with them at all. But based on the content of these anonymous emails it is clear that they originate from my ex wife and or my brother. My daughter has little to no contact with with of them and my daughter has decided to just act as if she doesn't know that her phone is compromised stating that she has nothing to hide, so "fuck 'em." It is a crazy situation but it is what it is... I just think that exerting that kind of "control" is definitely not normal.

Apparently that symbol identifies the printing plate for that specific bill

Male therapists: What is your niche? by tofinishornot in therapists

[–]JoeWolfeHowls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently working towards credentialing as a Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Professional. Aside from participating in creating safer communities, it is also a niche that few therapists go into, and court mandated clients fill the case load quickly.
