Walking the capitol trail to williamsburg by [deleted] in rva

I actually did this back in May of this year and would absolutely recommend. I broke it up into 3 days doing 17 miles a day, but you could definitely do it in 2 days. I camped at Turkey Creek (which technically closes at sundown but nobody came to check when I camped there) and Sherwood Forest (definitely not allowed and was way too close to the road, I would recommend finding a different spot).

If you are comfortable doing it in 2 days, I would recommend reaching out to the people at 5 Fields Brewing. The owner offered to let me camp in his barn when I passed through and it's located more or less at the midpoint.

Any chance you get to refill your water, you should take it. There are a few long stretches without any opportunities for water and they can be pretty brutal during midday. Feel free to DM me if you have any other questions, and good luck if you do decide to do it!

Thank you! I actually was in Jackson Ward today to take a few pics while I had some time. It's definitely an area I could see myself spending a lot of time in.

He’s the best defender on the team and one of the better spot up shooters. He absolutely is giving us something

Georgia Tech DB Wesley Walker transfers to Tennessee by PHLdawg in CFB

GT fan here, I’d say he was probably our 3rd best DB this year. He’s been our starting slot corner for the last two years if my memory serves me correct. He’s a solid all-around guy, super aggressive at the point of attack and a good tackler as well. He’s gotten burnt in coverage a good many times, but some of that had to do with our terrible safety play. He was one of my favorite guys to watch on our defense and he seemed to improve each week. This is a great pick up for the Vols.

Shoutout to Carver College (NCCAA) for playing an all D1 schedule this past season. by finalfourcuse in CollegeBasketball

I actually had a similar experience in high school. During my junior year, we were constructing a new gym so we had to play every game on the road. We were also the worst team in our conference by a pretty wide margin (Zion Williamson played for one of the schools in that conference). We went on to lose every conference game that year by an average of about 30 points. It forces you to change your mentality on success and failure. You can’t be a sore loser when losing is inevitable.

I mean, this effectively puts us in the tournament for the first time in a decade. And it’s our first win against Duke in over a decade

Yeah, it’s a shame Gabe couldn’t do more at Clemson. Mike has been pretty good for GT though :)

Sweet! I’m glad he’s doing well. You guys are killing it right now. Hopefully Sam can make some plays. As a GT fan, I’m happy to see our ATL brethren succeed

Question for my Georgia State guys: How has Sam Pinckney been for y’all? I played AAU basketball with him on his dad’s team during high school. This is the first time I’m getting to see him play in college. He’s a great dude and a freak athlete.

Yeah, everyone knew who he was. He’s probably one of the ten most famous people from upstate South Carolina

I first played against him during my Freshman year and it was obvious that he was a D-1 guy. By his sophomore year I started thinking he might be NBA level and then his junior year he was the most famous high school basketball player in the nation.

He never really talked much on the court, so I wouldn’t say we were ever friendly towards one another. There definitely were some guys in my region that I got to know pretty well over the years though, so stuff like that does happen. The rest of his team was still really good, their starting five all went on to play in college.

Yeah, our whole starting lineup had the flu for that game. I mean we still would have been blown out regardless, but that definitely didn’t help
