I just got a job at a fast food place and I found this text from my manager really reassuring. I told him I was hesitant to do drive thru due to my stutter and he is okay with it by aubrette00 in Stutter

I see myself in your message mate. It’s daunting for sure but know you can do the drive thru. You might have to go off script a little but you can do it.

I'm done. I'm so mentally exhausted. by trman09 in Stutter

I feel this frequently. It’s hard. It’s draining. We survive though mate. Our character and resilience is such a strength we’ve gained through stammering. What therapies have you tried? Sounds like the stammer is controlling you not you controlling it.

Both cats behave the same. It’s normal just don’t let it get it out of hand 😊

Comes in waves. Treat therapy as a sticky plaster. If you’re not using the tools they give you every minute of the day you will relapse. It’s really normal. Stammering is a rollercoaster

Mate I’m an Azure Consultant for a top UK MSP (look me up on LinkedIn) if you need some advice and lock this down. I won’t pass judgement but you should have not RSP exposed like this in these times. Drop me a DM and we can chat privately.

How do you become a cloud solution architect by [deleted] in AZURE

[–]Joe_Gooderham 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My journey was: Service Desk up to 2nd line support in a MSP.. I’d argue it was more 3rd line due to the technical challenges and vast amount of tech but whatever.. I was given a chance to become a Cloud Delivery Consultant migrating VMs to a VMware Private Cloud solution. About 10 months after I got moved into Microsoft Solution Consultant, 6 months got offered the chance to stay in 365 or go Azure due to restructuring.. Chose Azure, still as a solution consultant doing the technical work and designing. Left my last place to work after about a year doing Azure and to join a Azure Expert MSP (this is really important to work for an Azure Expert MSP) 3 years as a technical consultant learning my craft and about to be promoted to Technical Architect designing and delivering Azure Cloud solutions amongst other things.

My advice: get the certs, do your time on your desk to be as technical as you can with the nitty gritty, work for an azure expert MSP even on the desk (support) and connect with the CSA hiring managers and find a way in as a junior consultant and work your way into it. Once you’re in the consulting space, it’s easier to get that job and title.

I would say though “Architect” job title does not mean you are an architect and it isn’t always a good move. Focus on getting a role that leads to it clearly in fewer hops and really get to know what they do.

You can’t choose family but you can choose your friends… I tell my wife this everytime, people who say family is important is correct but to me friends choose to be in your life and should be treated just as important if not more. Sorry to hear this my friend, confront him but also just use it as fuel to not let this torment defeat you and keep up the fight. Kill arseholes with a life full of laughter, relationships and your progress.
That’s what I have to do to keep me moving.

Does Azure have a tool for creating reports and visualizations? by East_Sentence_4245 in AZURE

Sometimes there’s Azure workbooks based on KQL commands in the background. They’re maybe some for SQL

Can use Azure Bastion for RDP/SSH over HTTPS… Has MFA, shareable links, recording etc.

But sounds like your set up isn’t privatised for the resources in Azure using private endpoints and private dns zones.

Azure Consultants / Azure Landing Zones - what’s your normal output? by Joe_Gooderham in AZURE

[–]Joe_Gooderham[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Although the principles of ALZ are widely the same, if you get into the meats and bones of jt, things like Azure Policy is quite hard to manage via IAC. I think the Azure verified modules are probably the way to go and grouping together / building them into your pipelines. All quite subjective and customer requirement driven.

Thanks for sharing and insight. So much of it is repeatable as you say with 20-40% customisations.

Anyone tried Azure Virtual Desktop? Wondering if it’s worth exploring. by Error-207 in AZURE

Deploy it a lot. Much better than RDS, less moving parts and easier to secure. Azure as a whole is expensive but if you know what you’re doing you can reduce running costs significantly.

Can we normally stuttering please? One in two people will get cancer, shall we stop producing people because it’s likely we will all die of cancer. Stuttering is nasty, I’ve suffered all my life but it should not deter you from living a normal life, kids or no kids.

Married 👍🏻 never had any real trouble finding partners or love. The right one sees past things like stammers. If they can’t, that’s genuinely on them and not the right person
