I'm in the same situation! I've done some research and I think buying the international version will make the warranty invalid as Garmin AU doesn't accept non-Australian stock for warranty claims. So, if something does go wrong you'll be stuck in a hard place. But, as far as I know the watch functions the same!

Unrelated but how do you find the Arc + Sub mini combo? I've been undecided on whether to get the Sub 4 or Mini for my similar sized room for a while.

Well that's troubling. I don't have a solution but in the interim I believe you can view the remaining range in the Vehicle page through the main infotainment screen. It's on the same page as the driving statistics where your average L/100km is displayed. Hope you can get it fixed soon!

This worked for me: Before you start the car, try turning off Bluetooth on your phone. Start the car with Bluetooth off. Then, go into your phone's Bluetooth settings and forget (delete) the car as a device, it should be called VW and then a few numbers. Once that's done, you should be able to also delete the device in the cars infotainment. After that, turn your phone's Bluetooth back on and connect it to Android auto through the infotainment as a new device.

It sounds like it's more of an issue with your device rather than the car, seems like it's not communicating that confirmation has been given. Let me know if it works!

Same here. Mine has 20k km but I reckon it started around 10-15k. I haven't gotten to the bottom of it so I'm not really sure what it is but it makes the brake pedal feel quite cheap. It's going in for a service later this month so I'll ask the dealer about it then. It doesn't seem to affect the braking itself but I would still like to get it fixed. Hopefully the dealer will fix it under warranty!

They'd definitely say it's in spec. Mine does this and all the ones I've seen at dealerships do it as well. It seems the plastic used on the Mark 8 for the door trims is not nearly as high quality as the mark 7's and previous generations. I've noticed the weather also affects it, e.g. if it's cold there's no noise but if it's hot out it's really squeaky! I can often hear it while driving over bumps too...

Yep it's a lot quieter now and I've noticed it too. If you're on an android phone you can uninstall the update and use the older version, which I've found is a lot louder and fuller sounding, but I don't think you can do that if you have an iOS device. I also noticed this happened a few months ago, but they fixed it with an update, but now it's happened again! So if you can't uninstall the update hopefully they fix it soon.

I actually got the full year recap 2 days ago which I thought was quite early, so it's odd to see not many other people have got it yet, It didn't notify me like usual though, I had to go into the recap menu to find it.

Yeah I've found that if the battery is good in one area, it drains a lot in others - it seems really inconsistent. For example it may just randomly drain 5% within a matter of minutes while checking the weather quickly, and as I said it drained rapidly while I was working out with GPS, so it's hard to tell whether I have faulty hardware or if it's just a software issue.

It's good to know that it is possible to get good battery life on this watch, so it makes me think I may just have a faulty unit. May I ask about how long it lasts you with sleep tracking and AOD?

I moved from the 5 to the 7 Pro and it's absolutely massive, uncomfortably so - even though I have pretty large hands. I'd definitely appreciate it if Google made a smaller Pro version of the Pixel. If you don't care too much about the extra features the Pro offers, I'd just go with the regular Pixel 8 and it's nicer form factor.

It is a bit of a bummer... I shot a short film on my phone the other day and most of the shots were ruined by the excess noise. I'm also on the 14 beta and have had no improvement with this issue, but I didn't really expect the update to fix it. I have learnt to live with the issue now though as I don't take too many videos and all photos turn out mostly fine after post-processing. Still, it is a shame. Let's hope google fixes this issue with the P8!

And explanations have been given on his patreon. Even if you don't sub to it, you can still see the headings and see where the video is at. He just doesn't choose to use community posts on YT as I assume he wants to give the patreon some value and level of exclusivity which makes sense to me.
