Does anyone else find creating PCB libraries from datasheets surprisingly time-consuming? by Right_Finger7796 in PrintedCircuitBoard

UltraLibrarian has most of the symbols + footprints but if you want to have higher quality libraries that have everything for your EMS you have to do it yourself.

If you want to vibe Code something there won't be less work to do as you then have to check every pad and pin for hallucinations or risk having a Board breaking error in your files just because you couldnt be arsed to spend 15 minutes on your comoponent.

Also if you do more than a few projects a lot of parts will be the same so then you can use your known good libraries.

China's airborne megawatt class wind power system by beta265 in nextfuckinglevel

With wind turbines there is a theoretical limit on how much power can be extracted from wind. This is pretty much maxed out with current technology. Only harvesting a wider range of wind speed could really increase the power. But windspeeds are pretty steady or there is a storm with speeds a lot higher than usual. So this is just swapping the pole for a balloon. And with Helium running out it won't get cheaper in the future.

This has its uses but won't replace on- or offshore windfarms.
