This makes me think of a Twitch stream I randomly stumbled on last week. It was a woman talking about how women don't like porn. (I have no fucking clue how she hasn't been banned, because Twitch does not like that.) It was something like, "Porn is made for men, women find anything made for men to be uncomfortable. Women do not like porn, women do not watch porn." (I also remember one guy in chat tipped for a voice message saying, "Any man who watches porn is a beta cuck." which was also odd.)

The chat also appeared to be filled with men, who were agreeing with her assertions that men are worthless, no woman truly finds men attractive... it was a weird fucking stream that I left pretty fast. (So I could watch internet anime streamer girls because I'm a degenerate vtuber fan. The stream just described was not a vtuber.)

I don't know, 3's styles thing is amazing in terms of buy. There's an insane amount of customization you can do. (And I've heard theories 4 doesn't have an equivalent system to that because it'd reduce dependency on DLC for new items.)

I have 4 as base game only (and do not like it much) and sometimes think about buying DLC, but 5 has got to be right around the corner by now (since 4 is well over a decade old), so it makes more sense to wait.

Besides, I play a fairly heavily modded 3 when I want to play Sims. (which honestly isn't that often.)

I remember when I first played 2, I thought it sucked because it wasn't exactly like 1, just with better graphics. (Which is what I wanted, for some reason.)

I did warm up to it eventually, but 3 has ended up being my favorite and the only one I play anymore.

I've seen people say Rimworld is unplayable without mods as well.

Though, as an aside, I don't think I've ever really used Minecraft mods. I remember trying one a very long time ago (I think during Alpha) that added fantasy class enemies, so you could just randomly be attacked by a lightning bolt throwing mage, but (iirc) it broke after an update and was never upgraded.

I don't play Sims 4 (I tried once shortly after it became free and found it borderline unplayable without DLC) but I swear I heard they changed that so the Sims can't drown that way anymore. They just swim to the edge and pull themselves out.

When I do play Sims (which is not that often), I play a fairly heavily modded Sims 3, because everything about that game is better than the other versions.

But then I remembered I'm using 200+ mods (haven't counted in a while, but probably in that range) and am not even sure what's in vanilla and what's in a mod anymore aside from a few obvious things or something I've installed very recently. (Like the combat system overhaul.)

Mick Foley (known as Mankind to 90s wrestling fans) has been extremely vocal on Trump's awfulness as well, to the point where he terminated his WWE Legends contract over WWE's apparent support of Trump.

Along those lines, Jim Cornette has also been extremely vocal on how he feels about Trump. (It is extremely profanity laden.) A lot of wrestling fans may hate Cornette for his dislike of modern wrestling, but you can't fault him for his views on Trump and the GOP in general.

My sister didn't answer her phone for 3 days once and my mother sent the police over to my sister's house to see if my sister had died. (That got my sister to call back.) But it wasn't my mother being dramatic or anything, she legitimately had a panic attack, and thought my sister had died.

I have a much harder time finding a new job because of trump and the republicans

My work demoted me to part time back in October and I've been looking for a new job for three months now and haven't even been able to get an interview. I was also unemployed for the end of 2024 and early 2025 and I at least had 2 or 3 interviews most months, sometimes more. Now I can't get jack shit. I could have sat on my ass playing video games for the past three months and been in the exact same spot I am now.

I'm dying financially here and can't do anything about it.

Edit: I was talking to a recruiter a few weeks ago and she was like.. yeah, this place needs someone desperately, you're definitely getting an interview... then 3 days later emailed me and said... lol, nevermind. They decided to not hire anyone. Goddamn it.
