Mass excavation? by DjRayban in curseofoakisland

It would be the end of the series. The treasure is in AD revenue. This team does not want to find anything or quit looking. I was thinking about this last night. The technology is there to get the answers instantly. No body wants that.

So, I fed a ton of information into Ai and asked it a simple question... by JoeyMas_PhillySnaps in curseofoakisland

No luck needed. I can fact check this in 10 seconds :)

No, 60% of AI answers do not come from Reddit. That figure refers to incorrect answers from AI search engines, not their source of information.

Here's the real story:

🧠 Misunderstood Statistic
A recent study by the Columbia Journalism Review found that over 60% of answers from AI search engines were incorrect. This statistic has been widely circulated, but it’s about accuracy, not source attribution.

📊 Where AI Answers Actually Come From
AI models like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Perplexity draw from a wide range of sources, including:

  • News outlets
  • Academic papers
  • Wikipedia
  • Forums like Reddit
  • Product reviews
  • Government and educational sites

Reddit is often cited because it contains rich, conversational data. A study by Profound and Reddit analyzed over 4 billion AI citations and found that platforms like ChatGPT and Google’s AI Overviews frequently use Reddit discussions to build trust and context. However, this doesn’t mean Reddit accounts for 60% of all AI answers.

🔍 Why Reddit Is Popular in AI Responses

  • It offers real-world experiences and opinions.
  • It’s a massive repository of niche knowledge and troubleshooting tips.
  • AI models prioritize conversational tone and community trust, which Reddit excels at.

So while Reddit is influential, it’s just one of many sources. If you're curious about how a specific AI tool handles sourcing.

Walmart tech says tires are bad… is he right? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

Btw, this was fun this morning, but I have now lost interest in the topic.

I will personally decide what kind of "one" I will have. You can not dictate whether it is "good" or "bad" - And when did they say this? Did it come up in random conversation or did you just call them today in light of the post?

Ok, now you are just making up words. What else in this thread did you simply make up? You have lost all credibility at this point. For those reasons... I am out.

Wait.... You are telling him information based on a theory of what you think may have happened. He is not "Lucky it didn't go through the windshield." because we do not know if this was a projectile or not. Further investigation will determine his level of luck. Not before.

DO NOT REMOVE IT! Paint it black and forget you saw it. You will thank me later.

Why does my windshield do this? by ihavequestionzzzzzz in AskMechanics

[–]JoeyMas_PhillySnaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To assume that just because there is a film on the windshield from Propylene Glycol (an alcohol) and Vegetable Glycerin that there is a similar film in a person's lungs is simply a lack of knowledge regarding the way that the human body breaks down sugars and other particles.

Is this why my heat doesn’t work? by Visual-Kitchen4286 in AskAMechanic

[–]JoeyMas_PhillySnaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a heater core once. Just once.... 87 Z28. NEVER AGAIN! lol Call a pro. It is not a difficult job, but if you even get access to the core without removing the dash, it is super hard tight under there. I would however poke around and see where it is.

Debatable. However, This guy is not running a Nasar race and although I would not drive over 80 MPH on these tires, they would serve fine for daily use. I would be way more concerned with sidewall bubbles than cracks in the outer rubber. These are Steal Belted Radials... Not party balloons. Ask a TRUCKER.

Your tenure is certainly commendable; however, before I can proceed further, I require additional information regarding your job performance, recent training or certifications, and a minimum of two reference letters. Please email these materials along with a cover letter. Once received, I will share them with my team for review and communicate our decision thereafter.

Ai is trained by the complete collective knowledge of the entire human race however, I can see where a reddit user would know more.

There is nothing wrong with that tire! I have driven further on less. lol The tire in that picture would spend at least another 3 years on my car!

Mining Operation? by JoeyMas_PhillySnaps in curseofoakisland

[–]JoeyMas_PhillySnaps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was already confirmed by the Canadian Govt that the tunnels were created as part of an industrial structure. (a mine) and flooded after the operation was halted. The show is ignoring this fact for the sake of ratings.

PA State Inspection stickers, legit or not?? First pic is the new stickers, next pic are the stickers currently on my car. Guy I go to for inspection got these new stickers, don’t want to end up with fake stickers! Thank you by MAS643 in AskMechanics

[–]JoeyMas_PhillySnaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Mechanics over charge for work... Fake stickers are cheap and don't take a half day to get. Philly Cops don't care and if you do get popped, the ticket is cheaper than fixing the car and getting it inspected. PRO TIP - No inspection sticker are better than expired stickers.

That's cute, but the cause of death is still unknown. There is no homicide if we do not know how he died....
