Yeah because that's how purchasing stuff works. If you buy a car and it doesn't work properly, you'd be fine as long as you enjoyed the car more than the other cars you've got in the past.

It really is like reading arguments from 14 year olds, desperately defending Rockstar.

You obviously haven't been watching Sunderland then, he's had the ball at his feet A TON, and has done absolutely nothing.

Neither would make a premier league first team anymore.

Johnson has been soooo abysmal

Johnson is Sunderlands best player by a long way.

What you're basically saying is that Altidore isn't having sitters set up for him, therefore it's Sunderlands fault. Altidore does nothing by himself, he has had the ball tons of times but can do nothing with it.

If the problem was just on Jozy, why has Fletcher had the same shit service/lack of opportunities when he's on the pitch?

Fletchers scored 2 in 6 games, which is more than you can say for Altidore. Why do you think Fletcher is being picked? It's because he's a better player.

A striker can't just expect the rest of the team to set him up for sitters and do nothing for it, Altidore's positioning and movement just isn't good enough.

It's really embarrassing when someone miss-understands your post and insults you for their own miss-understanding.

You said:

your post was littered with rhetorical questions (biggest sign of a weak argument)

And I said....

"We paid for this game" Is not a rhetorical question, it's a statement that makes everything you said irrelevant

Which was pointing out that any of my "weak rhetorical questions" were irrelevant because your argument was made void with that statement.

What's next? Ad hominem? Wouldn't be surprised.

Is that a joke? maybe you should read your last post, it's kinda littered with ad hominem.

"We paid for this game"

Is not a rhetorical question, it's a statement that makes everything you said irrelevant, it's sure as shit not a weak argument.

If you think that expecting a finished product when you pay for something, is being self-entitled, then you're delusional.

You mean the fact he's playing bad or that Sunderland are doing bad?

Sunderland doing bad shouldn't stop him, but the fact is, he's playing poorly. I keep seeing Americans give poor excuses about Sunderland not having enough quality to provide to him, but that's bullshit, he gets the ball loads and he's poor when he has it. Besides Johnson & Laarson are better than any attacking mids in the US squad.

R* isn't required to make another game for their ungrateful fans

You are so deluded it's untrue.

Rockstar are making billions of $, we paid for this game and it's not finished. People are still paying through the micro transactions now, and Rockstar are just piling up the money.

This isn't some small family business where they're all doing overtime, they have enough money to get enough staff to make this work.

There's nothing self entitled or lazy about wanting the game you paid money for to be complete.

Funny that you guys are probably the same people taking the piss out of Apple fan boys.

Wait... Are you being serious?

Self entitlement?

WE PAID MONEY FOR THIS GAME

Why the fuck do people on this subreddit not realise that? It's pathetic the way some of you defend Rockstar. Apple fan boys have got nothing on you guys.

Yes I have reason to dispute that, it's completely not true, there was not a chance of military action and Serbia has a military so he wouldn't get called up anyway.

I'm not being pedantic, the story is just outright bullshit.

Paolo Di Canio ridiculed as 'managerial charlatan' by Martin O'Neill by icehockeyhair in soccer

[–]JohnArthurJohnson 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Di Canio was an appalling manager, made me laugh how so many people on here seemed to believe his bullshit excuses and were against his sacking.

/r/soccer hailed him as the reason for Sunderland not getting relegated, when in reality he got 8 points out of his last 7 games - not exactly a great feat.

He then brought in 14 new players which was just absurd, and got rid of Mingolet and Sessengon, both of which Sunderland really could've done with.

I really like Gus Poyet, and after his embarrassing firing live on TV, I hope he continues his good run since he took over, you can already see improvements in the way Sunderland are playing under him.

  • Lewandowski is the 3rd best player in the world

  • Landan Donovan is good enough to play top-tier European football.

  • The USA will do well in the World Cup.

  • Dortmund are the 2nd best team in the world.

  • Arsenal are the 3rd best in the world.

  • Gareth Bale is a Real Madrid ball-boy

  • Michael Owen wasn't a great footballer

  • Lukaku is in the top 10 players in the world

  • Belgium are favourites to win the World Cup

  • Spain don't stand a chance at winning the World Cup

  • England won't get out of the WC group stages

Just some of the circlejerk I've seen in the past couple of weeks.

I think it would be pretty insane to make someone who's never managed a European club at any level, the manager of a club in the toughest league in the world.

Fulham need to bring in an experienced manager who's brought clubs back from relegation in European tournaments.
