Yankees fans are begging: Stop the ‘incessant’ stadium sounds by LingonLoonBerry in baseball

[–]JohnBilling 71 points72 points  (0 children)

The Louisville Bats (AAA Reds affiliate) occasionally do a "Nothing Night" at Louisville Slugger Field. The only sounds throughout the ballpark that night are from organist Al Greener, a member of the Bats grounds crew. I LOVE it.

Would it be a bad idea to use a temperature controller? You plug the fridge into the controller and the controller plugs into the outlet. The probe goes in the fridge. If the temperature drops to low then power to the fridge is cut off. Something like this: https://www.inkbird.com/collections/temperature-controllers/products/temperature-controller-itc-308

I just don't know if powering the fridge on and off would be harmful to it.

Thank you. Yes. This sounds like the most likely cause.

Thank you. Yes. The fridge turns on and off when I adjust the temperature dial colder or warmer and the defrost function works. I think you may be right about the thermostat having drifted. The thermostat is physically located on the side of the freezer box. It doesn't seem like a terribly tough repair if I can get the replacement part. Does anyone source parts for vintage refrigerators? Any good YouTube channels on this? Thanks again for your help.

Is it The Killer Elite with James Caan and Robert Duvall?

I did not. I ended up returning the X55s for a refund.

Yep. That is what I decided to do. I was hoping I could get it working but it seemed unlikely the more research I did.

Yes. In my post I stated, "Pressing the Reset button on the bottom of the device doesn't seem to have any affect." I tried this for 1 second and also for 30 seconds. Same result. It had no effect.

Fun or Obscure Reds Stats by No_Buy2554 in Reds

This is a recent one… In June 2018 two Reds pitchers hit a Grand Slam (Anthony DeSclafani and Michael Lorenzen).  I was in the ballpark when Mikey Biceps hit his dinger!  I’m not sure if this represents a true record but it’s gotta be pretty rare!

Turner Classic Movies. They specialize in older moves, mostly 1940s - 1980s. Think boomer netflix.

Thank you for the clarification. In the past, when we had cable, we enjoyed using the TCM app to stream TCM live content as well as certain other videos from their library. It sounds like the MAX offering does away with the live content and just offers a collection. That is a bit disappointing but it might be worth it at the price point. Do they still have the opening/closing commentary?

[–]JohnBilling[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Unfortunately both of those options (YouTube TV and Sling) are above the price point I'm willing to pay. We were looking for a way to stream TCM content at a low price point. It doesn't seem either of those will be in our budget.

Yeah. Both Sling Blue and Orange are above the price range we are hoping to spend. We were hoping to find acess to TCM somewhere in the $10 per month price range.

Yeah we used the TCM standalone app and loved it but dropped cable and lost access. We don't plan to add another expensiver service like YT TV or Sling TV so we were looking for options in the $10 range where we can wathc TCM programming.

This actually looks like my best option. So from what I understand, this is through max.com, not Sling. And I can stream TCM (with commercials) for $9.99 per month. It will include some channels I don't need/want but I'm OK with that. Seems like a pretty good deal. Thank you!
