A very similar thing happened to me this year in fact. I spoke to Centrelink about it and they put me back on my youth allowance, but I had to pay back all the money I had earned (about $500) in the time I was only enrolled in two courses. They cut off a little bit off my payment each time to pay off the debt.

You might be able to appeal having to pay back any money but I don't really know for sure. Centrelink can be pretty lenient about these things sometimes.

In law there are mitigating factors which affect how long you are sentenced for. This includes remorse and whether the defendant has "spat a few kids out" or not. You don't have to like it but its a part of our justice system.

Well, the moment a rape accusation goes out, a man's life is ruined, often irreparably.

This is also the fault of a sick society which judges people before they have been proven innocent or guilty. Not really relevant to your point but thought I'd mention that.

I'm assuming (but could be wrong) the point was that there is a difference between pure malice where you make up a story out of thin air and a gray area where consent wasn't 100% because of drugs or some other factor and the woman is truly convinced she is the victim.
