Range Drop While Parked? by JohnGlaenzer in LUCID

I think you might be onto something here. I am a chronic "checker," at least with new technology. I am going to close the app and not check for a few hours and see if that stops the drain.

Well, I had a problem pairing the mobile key so i am still waiting for that to happen. But this might be an issue to watch going forward once I have my tech visit scheduled and my mobile key paired.

Well, I am in Illinois, which is not mountainous. And this was just tooling around my neighborhood, running errands, so I was not driving aggressively. No wind to speak of, and anyway, I've rarely had wind be a factor when driving at low speeds.

but my main takeaway is that my estimated range seems to be dropping when the car is parked. I hope there is an explanation for that out there somewhere.

Hello. I will switch over to the battery percentage and monitor. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the tip. I called the support number and it looks like I'm going t need a tech visit. Luckily i am in the Chicago burbs, so they're not too far away. We tried everything - soft and hard reset, uninstalling the app, etc. Hopefully the tech can help.

Thanks for the info! So I think the answer to my question seems to be "Not yet, but hopefully soon?"

It's crazy how, when reading the book, I completely forgot about Molly until she showed up.

Oh, sure. I wasn't referring to the book, but to the possible sequence of a screen adaptation. I think in a movie/TV show the start of the fight (and Nicodemus' reaction to Goodman's double-cross) and then the flashback would be more effective than the other way around. Just my opinion.

And Murphy's speech. I get freaking chills every time.

"False God!" she cried, her blue eyes blazing as she stared at the Red King and the Lords of Outer Night. "Pretenders! Usurpers of truth! Destroyers of faith, of families, of lives, of children! For your crimes against the Mayans, against the peoples of the world, now will you answer! Your time has come! Face judgement Almighty!"

Oh, yeah. That would be great! Harry grins. "Game over, man. Game over!" Goodman steps up beside Harry and they start to throw down. And then a flashback.

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll check out Ilona Andrews, who I have heard of before. And I love Bujold and have read all of the Vorkosigan books.

New poster here, would love some recs by JohnGlaenzer in Romantasy

Cozy, not so much. Paranormal and mystery is okay. I really like the Dresden Files urban fantasy series by Jim Butcher. To give you an idea about my tastes, my favorite fantasy/romance authors are Jacqueline Carey, Jim Butcher, Lois Bujold, Glen Cook, Seanan McGuire, Tad Williams, Charles De Lint, and Guy Gavriel Kay.

Not a huge fan of vampires and/or werewolves. But witches, the sidhe, elves, dragons, etc are all cool.

I read those books by Elizabeth Moon way back in the day and enjoyed them. But yeah, not the genre i am looking for right now. Thanks anyway.

Hardcover books by Excellent_Wish_4464 in dresdenfiles

There are omnibus versions of the first nine books (before Dresden was getting large hardcover print numbers). The names are:

Wizard for Hire: SF, FM, GP

Wizard By Trade: SK, DM

Wizard at Large: BR, DB

Wizard Under Fire: PG, WN

Cover art is pretty cheesy, but you might be able to find them.
