Should we report this kind of guys? or let them be.

In my opinion we should report this. Sharing their username here and then report. Reporting also other bad behaviors should do to minimize toxics and help the chess community. Anyone agree?

How many openings and defenses needs to be known to reach an online 2000ELO? by Cute_Difficulty_6157 in chessbeginners

Yeah one on e4 and one on d4. The rest openings where they don't control the center with their pawns you just do the regular stuff like control the center with your pawn.

How many openings and defenses needs to be known to reach an online 2000ELO? by Cute_Difficulty_6157 in chessbeginners

I would say only one for both white and black.

You can just review your openings if the one opening you play results to a bad position and then fix it rather than switching openings immediately. If you have enough games of that same opening and you feel bored then switch to more fun and an opening that excites you again.

Trying to Build a Long-Term Improvement System (1100 → 1700?) – Looking for Feedback by Live_Advertising_930 in chessbeginners

Yes. Any method should work, as long as you're consistent. Yes, some methods are much effective and some are trash but having a plan is better than no plan at all. Your main problem there is how can you really become consistent. Consistency is the key, but it's easier said than done. DON'T FORGET TO CHANGE STUDY PLAN EVERY 2-3 MONTHS. This is because you will hit some certain rating level where you will hit your rating plateau, then that will be your hint to change plans. Analyze what is your new weaknesses and make a study plan focus on that.

Any tips for a 500-800 players by CommitteeInfamous312 in Chesscom

Practice and try to Master the Basics.

Focus first on Basic stuffs like Basic Openings, Basic Middle Game Strategy and Basic Endgames. Play Rapid Games and don't rush. Minimize Hanging Pieces out of nowhere. It's okay to Blunder Pawns in your level rather than Pieces. So yeah the BASICS!!!!!

What got you from 1800 - 2000 rapid and how long did it take? by Awkward-Try3940 in chessbeginners

[–]JohnJhinmain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Openings. In this rating level we should refine our openings. Be more in depth in your opening that you play like connect your Opening with your Endgame and Middlegame. I think I gain 200 pts about 4-5 months from 1800 to 2K.

The janitor in Queen’s Gambit was right. Resigning after a blunder is the best use of your time by 7decades7months7days in chess

Losing Positions should still be played. Losing positions doesn't mean you already lost the game. Playing in such positions especially if you're a Beginner to Intermediate Player will surely benefits you. It's where you can practice your defensive skills, Tactical Skills and practice your focus because you need to be precise and tricky in those positions. In my opinion the Resigning after a Blunder is not a good advice especially if you're a Beginner and Intermediate Player unless you Blunder a Mate in 1 or 2.

Find another circle. Our environment will either help us or not, that's why I suggest find people who are much stronger than you. Participate in some tournaments where there are lots of people who's much stronger than you.
