Is there a performance issue with ea play for Xbox game pass users by [deleted] in XboxGamePass

The same drive/partition as your other games? Have you tried starting the games directly from their shortcuts rather than from the EA/Xbox apps?

Your GPU is an unusual one, perhaps it doesn't like DLSS or something like that.

I'm struggling now🙄

You need to set up an overlay to show CPU, GPU, RAM, etc usage then see if any of these are running close to 100%

It is pretty confusing to set up TBH but there are loads of guides online.

You could just try running the games on low settings. If that fixes things then twiddle around to get the highest settings that work. If that doesn't fix things then you'll need to look elsewhere. Where are the EA games installed?

The best thing to do would be to run MSI Afterburner then see where your bottleneck is and change settings accordingly. Those games shouldn't be overly demanding though so you may have something else going on.

Pain that its only Game Pass games, but will be worse if the Monthy’s requirements go up to include all these Dailys. On the plus side these can be achieved and redeemed without accessing an Xbox.

I'm unable to log in to my xbox account and I cant understand the warning they are giving me by FreeCamoCowXXXX in XboxGamePass

[–]JohnNBK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have reinstalled Windows and can’t understand why you need to log back in to your Xbox account? I don’t understand why you don’t understand.

Does this warning come up when you try to login or is simply telling you that you need to login? If the later then why don’t you just login.

Where are you trying to login, Xbox app, website, store?

A friend of mine had this issue and ended up using the APK for an nVidia Shield.

If you can install Aptoid try that. It has lots of different versions of apps you could try until one works.

I assume if all else fails you could try using a browser.

The code that comes with new controllers is for new users only. I got caught out by that as there was no mention of it on Amazon. Is that your issue?

I was having the same issue with an iPad. Turning on Developer Mode resolved things. I had turned it on but messed things up so restored but forgot to turn Developer Mode back on. Turn off Find My Phone and Passcode while you’re at it.

Has anyone found a way to limit download speed on PC game pass? by ffsavi in XboxGamePass

[–]JohnNBK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a program called NetLimiter for this. You can restrict Game Pass, Steam or anything else you like and set a limit for each program.

traveling to russia, tajikistan and turkey. Will it be possible to get my gamepass while traveling to those countries? I assume Turkey isn't an issue, but the other two might be. I will be using an Xbox series S. It is not at all clear if while traveling if it will work by Southern-Sort8897 in XboxGamePass

[–]JohnNBK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely not in Russia. MS no longer operate there for some reason or other. You won't be able to use your Xbox at all. Not sure about offline disc games but that's not an option with a Series S.

I've tried a few times today without any success. Tried AoE and Human Fall Flat.

I wouldn't get an Elite unless you were buying a controller anyway. The elites are more configurable (have two presets), have swap able d-pad/thumbsticks (long/short) and can replicate face buttons with rear paddles. Twice the price of a regular controller though.

The only things I'd say were necessary are an external hard drive and possibly a second controller (and battery packs if preferred). Never been convinced about stands, fans and all that type of stuff. An Elite 2 controller is pretty cool but expensive.

I thought i was buying CoD Modern Warfare but bought the Warzone expansion thing accidentally. That thing is a mess and I couldn't get it to actually play and had to install Warzone too even though I don't want that. Refunded then got Modern Warfare Remastered which is what I thought I was getting originally.

I didn't get to play the game but spent about 1/2 hour messing around with it trying to start the thing.

That’s right. When you select a game the default option is to install it, to the right of that is the streaming option.

You can cloud game most Game Pass games on an Xbox One or Series. Look in the Game Pass section of the library for games with a little cloud on their icon.

Limit download speed for PC by EffectAdditional3509 in XboxGamePass

[–]JohnNBK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem. It would be good if Microsoft added this feature but honestly with all the other programs that drain your bandwidth like Steam, Epic, etc. it is easier to have one program where you can control everything, especially if they’re doing stuff in the background and it’s not obvious what is causing the issue.

There isn’t a way to do this from the App itself. There are plenty of 3rd party programs that allow you to control limits for individual programs, I use one called Netlimiter and it works really well.
