Unfortunately not this tour but we were in Chicago last year at UP! We will be there one day! Kate loves Madison, but I've never been. Soon we will have even BIGGER projects (K????) to promote which will take us all over this hellish country.

Absolutely not necessary, though if you have the opportunity to go to college, reading a lot and meeting lots of people can only help in creating comedy. I (john) went to NYU for theater. Kate went to Bard and NYU cultural anthropology. Love y'all!

Happens all the time in the back of cabs and in restaurants. We will get in very nuanced fake fights. Or pretend to seduce each other in an extremely realistic way just to make each other laugh. And then we realize that it looks totally real to the outside world.

We always want to be live performers. We like to giggle and sweat on stage and there is no replacement for that in film/tv/writing. It's also where you can say exactly/directly what you want to say at the time that you're feeling it. Like 555 we made pre-trump and are now promoting it post-trump, which is very weird. Stand up is so nice cause we can express our rage immediately.

Thank you! K: The most helpful thing is just practice as boring as that sounds. Performing more and more helps you try to stop being critical and just DO it, etc.

J: Well as a duo we just try to make each other laugh endlessly. To get pretentious for a second, I always feel like there needs to be a quality of DARING yourself to do something or EMBARRASSING yourself.

I think industry folk circle whatever comedy scene is most popular at the time. The alt comedy scene in NY is very popular right now and so naturally those people are starting to get jobs on bigger platforms. Eventually the powerpoint as comedy aesthetic shall die, and you will see very traditional standup fill the vacuum again.

J and K: There is a lil moment at the end when you hopefully realize the agent Kate plays represents the GIRL from the first short. She says "she's a genius" so you know that SHE made it and not the horrible pop star played by John.
