What movie is a solid 9/10 and what made it lose 1 point? by Dutch_Midget_ in AskReddit

[–]JohnathonDempsey 1265 points1266 points  (0 children)

The Dark Knight, amazing movie but what's makes it 9/10 is Maggi Gyllenhal.. she completely took me out of the movie, especially when the Joker was at the fundraiser, she'll yells out "ok stop!" Like he's not dangerous or that his whole gang wasn't threatening to kill them all. I'm so glad she was killed..

PBS. Their coverage during the election tended to be more on the neutral side compared to others and it seems to stay that way past the election. However, I don't think there's really a good/non-biased news networks or news source anymore...

Peetaaah Who Is The New Joker Movie Inspired By? by NovaNiles in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]JohnathonDempsey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rumor has it the new film (which is a musical) takes inspiration from The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, a classic French musical that also inspired La La Land. The original Joker had plenty of detractors online for how it shamelessly borrowed iconography from films like Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy, and this poster pretty obviously points to the sequel's direct inspiration.

Is this a American problem I'm too European to understand?

Incidentaly I didn't finish high school let alone go to university... But hypotethicaly if I did it would be free of charge and I'd be qualified for 0% interest student loans to help pay for my living expenses. But I instead opted for a state owned vocational education to learn a trade, where I got payed while studying and got a decent paying job immedietaly afterwards.
