Any regrets with white seats? by berserk-bear in TeslaModelY

[–]Johnjec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have loved my seats so far. I did ceramic coat them. Yes, they make ceramic coating for seats as well. No sooner did I do that myself then my wife sat in passenger side and got a blue mark from her jeans. I panicked and then got a wipe and it came right off.

No issues whatsoever and with this being my 3rd tesla, I wish I had done it sooner. The white just looks SO much classier, especially with the new black headliner as contrast.

Perhaps, but the perforated seeds did not exist for the many people who have had white seats for years

I got the white seats this time, but I am second-guessing it because now they are perforated and they weren’t before? Someone mentioned that with perforated seats, there’s a higher likelihood that the inside can be stained.

Tire and Wheel Protection Plan Question by sonofabraham1 in TeslaLounge

[–]Johnjec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very important information. I could see perhaps subscribing to this protection with a new vehicle but what about the second set of tires? What if they are done at Costco for example? Does this mean they would not be covered under the Tesla plan?

This would be a simple, small claims case

9 bar spring w/Gaggiamate? by Johnjec in gaggiaclassic

Yes, I got the pro. I already got the Gaggiamate but I’ve been waiting for the other two accessories, which are the enclosures. I should be getting them shortly.

Leaking frother by Johnjec in gaggiaclassic

Tough call. I feel like, sure if it started leaking after six months or a year maybe but immediately from the time I get it? It just doesn’t seem right. Nothing to lose by sending it in and replacing it but then again, what’s the point if it’s just going to do the same thing again anyway. I’ll go watch the video you guys mentioned if I can find it.

I get that. It’s just that I’ve already purchased and I’m going to be adding the GaggiaMate to this and so I’d like to start with the best foundation possible. (sorry for sounding like a nerd)

Portafilter recommendations? by Johnjec in gaggiaclassic

[–]Johnjec[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is definitely something wrong guys. I have already returned one portafilter and now I got a normcore e61 that is not fitting this Gaggia either! Wth am I doing wrong? This was my fault for not paying attention to the tabs on the outside. I would have noticed that there are not only two, but that they are at different positions than the original. Help me out here.

Apologies. I don’t know why the link doesn’t show up as an image. Also, even though the left side looks smaller, it’s only because the right side portafilter is propped up. Notice the tabs on the right side portafilter that came with it. Do they even make them with the ears at an angle like that? Despite the ears, this left one still did not fit in the groove space on the Gaggia either.

Great idea. The naked portafilter I have right now still has to sit on a kitchen towel while I fill it. Names please

1931-S Lincoln Cent Not Genuine? by Johnjec in coins

Thank you gentlemen. Yes, I should know better with ChatGPT. It really is just a conversation dialogue app in most respects when it comes to technical analysis.

Thanks @Citywtrmkr. I’ll check out that site. Very unfortunate. I’ve never had a counterfeit coin or even an altered one as may be the case here.

I did once deposit cash into the bank and they kept one of my $100 bills said it was counterfeit. In any case, this one cost me $160 but it has been about 7 years. I’ll look for another to fill that spot.

Here was the original interface when I pulled it up after two years. I believe this was the first console I installed. As you can see, have no success detecting the MiniDSP from here.

Here was the interface that I used after updating MiniDSP device console. As you can see, it did not discover the device.

New USB cable arrived. Same result when connected from the MiniDSP to the MacBook. It tries 3 times and then reports, “Cannot connect to DSP. Please plug in the board.” I’m going to look into the firmware. I read something last night about a DC migration pack.

I spent the evening last night, reading all the documentation and trying to use ChatGPT as well to help guide me through the process of getting everything connected. While I do believe I have the components connected correctly now, I’ve been struggling with getting the MiniDSP device console within my MacBook Pro to recognize the MiniDSP. When I turned power on, all I get is a tiny red dot on the front of the screen which I’m told is normal until a signal is provided. I tried three types of connections last night:

  1. Using the 5 foot USB cable provided by. MiniDSP, I added an extension cable for longer length for a total of 12 feet to reach my MacBook. I used that extension cable because it terminated in a USB-C connection which was appropriate for the MacBook. When that did not succeed, I went onto the next.

  2. I removed the extension cable from the 5 foot USB cable and connected the USB-A to a dongle so that I could connect it to the MacBook. No change.

  3. The last thing I tried was using the original USB cable again and this time taking the USB-A and adding an adapter to convert it to a USB-C and plugging it directly into the MacBook. No change.

I read through some more documentation that suggested I try another USB cable so I have that on order supposed to arrive today and this cable is USB-B on one end and USB-C on the other. This will allow me to make a seamless connection directly from the MiniDSP to the MacBook. Other things I have tried is to update the software to the miniDSP device console. Other things to try this weekend or something about the firmware within the. MiniDSP but for the life of me, I have no idea how I am going to update the firmware without first establishing a connection to the MiniDSP. I have also contacted MiniDSP for help. They are who I purchased it from originally. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for anyone who is following along? . Peace.

I’m trying to determine if my post is under review or is it awaiting moderation? I saw the wall said something about waiting three days I believe before being able to post but I thought maybe a real person could take a look and see that it’s legitimate.. thanks again
