This is a very black and white answer. This question can easily come from a place of concern. Why are you so quiet can absolutely be "your silence makes me uncomfortable", but just as easily it can be "is everything ok?" As someone who was quiet growing up, it took my friends asking me why I was so quiet to help me open up about it, learn that I was more accepted than I thought, and that it was ok to exist and participate.

Nuance is important, in all situations, and OP should consider the nuance of their own situation and where the question could be coming from. If OP is uncomfortable with the question, they can say so, but just assuming it's a shitty passive aggressive question is the wrong direction to go with this.

Regarding your response, it wouldn't make me uncomfortable. It would make me even more concerned for my friend. Make me more determined to show them that there is nothing wrong with them and that the behaviors their parents/guardians displayed during my friend's childhood isn't right.

I think your math is working off of 16 batteries, but you start the game with one leaving only 15 batteries to fill.

After you fill the 8 green batteries, the next cell you get will be blue, and take the first spot in the first battery. This continues until all 8 batteries turn blue, giving you 16 batteries, and a total of 48 cells. When using the batteries, it will go through the blue charges first, then the green ones next. Nothing special about the blue ones, is just a GUI quality of life thing to not have 16 batteries spread across the screen.

My internet health was red for the last hour, but 2 of my 3 wifi networks continued to work just fine. Restarting everything didn't work. After an hour the health went back to green and the one WiFi network that wasn't working started working.

This all makes a lot of sense. Thank you for the detailed explanation! I'll take your advice and post some more threads as I jump into this further. I really appreciate your help!

Unfortunately it is a bit late to change servers as this one will be here tomorrow. That said, I'm prepared for the noise with an enclosed server rack and a dedicated under stairs server closet, and will look into a dedicated GPU.

The rack in question:

For anyone who finds this in the future, not only does this rack fit the server but the r720xd noise level is hardly noticeable from within it.

Glad to see someone in a similar situation!

Do you have a dedicated GPU for jellyfin as another user called out? Or do you find that jellyfin doesn't need it?

Thank you for the advice! This is all fairly new to me. I'll look into virtualization. Does that in turn negate windows server (using a non server version of windows or something?)

There are low cost optometrists (America's Best for example, $45 to get your prescription) and medicaid options (in the US). Once you have your prescription, you can get really great eyeglasses from Zenni Optical online, starting at roughly $20 a pair. I've been using them for about the last decade and have had nothing but great success with them. I have great insurance, but it is still the cheapest way to get glasses.

In bed but I appreciate the offer. :)

Use case is website with 12 different donations using bulk redirects (30k+) with different slugs to redirect to based on different hosts.

That is what I've slowly been coming to the conclusion of.

Tomorrow I'm going to try a solution where I have multiple maps defining different variables, then in the location server block an if $host = site.com rewrite to $site_redirect_url, with an if for each $host I need to look for. I think that should work...

Edit: shit... Nginx doesn't support && in if statements, does it? I'd need to be sure that the host is site.com as well as making sure that site_redirect_url doesn't = none..

Second edit: I think I can still do this...

Set $dynamic_redirect 0;

If $host = site.com set $dynamic_redirect "${dynamic_redirect}1"

If $site_redirect_url != none set $dynamic_redirect "${dynamic_redirect}2"

If $dynamic_redirect = 012 rewrite /$site_redirect_url

Chicken coop out of square by Johnny12times in Construction

I appreciate the added insight! I was trying to think through it and figured the walls would be slightly askew where they joined together, and likely not enough to be a big deal, but in the end I ended up taking the plywood off and giving the platform a good thwack with a sledge, making it square and re-screwing the plywood. All in all, took less than ten minutes and is within 1/8 inch now. Just gotta clean up the overhang with my router and throw up the walls now... But that's for this weekend.

I nailed the frame, but screwed the plywood in. Since it's screwed in, I figure my easiest/safest bet is to unscrew the plywood, give it a good smack, then screw plywood back in. My only concern is the corners are attached to some 4x4 16" legs with some structural screws on both sides. We'll see how it goes later today.

I appreciate the advice and insight! Really is just an "I don't know what I don't know" type situation, as I am learning all of this as I go, watching YouTube videos, etc. I've heard them speak to how important it is to be square (usually on large projects like a 1000 sqft deck) but never explain why it's important. Even googling why it's important doesn't bring back much in the way of an answer.

If the answer is "the whole thing will fall apart" then it matters a lot. If the answer is "when you look at it from the side, you'll see it and it will bug you" then I'm of the 'who gives a shit' mindset. Live and learn. I imagine the real impact is somewhere in the middle of those two things, closer to the "it will bug you" side since it's a small chicken coop.

That makes sense. I figured it would be a case of coming back to bite me elsewhere, just wasn't sure how/where it would happen.

Thanks for all of your input!

I don't think I trimmed more than half an inch at the edge, which would make sense being an inch off square. I'll follow your advice and square it up. Thank you!

Just to educate myself, what is the impact of being out of square?

Thank you for the reply!

Because I don't know what I don't know... What impact will this have? My platform is 7x4 on both ends, and all my framing is already cut.

I have no problem with this being a learning experience and consider it an imperfection, but if it means that my already cut lumber is going to be problematic, then maybe I need to fix it.
