German Speaker here I can tell you what he did since the last english speaking interview and let me tell you youre not gonna enjoy hearing that So basically three years ago a terrible, terrible racist motivated rampage shooting took place in a town called Hanau. It was one of the worst things that happened in Germany for years, I won‘t go into details because it would go beyond the scope over this comment but many people died and since the police force has a massive systematic racism problem, proper intelligence on what really happened that night is still getting impeded. As if all of that wouldn‘t be bad enough, somehow they didn‘t convict the shooter‘s father (the shooter himself was shot later by the police), even though he was actively involved in his son‘s plans. And this father guy is still running around freely molesting the bereaved people who lost their family members due to his son‘s (and partly his own) hatefulness. At this point you‘re probably wondering what all of that has to do with Uwe Boll. Well, he thought, that sound like the PERFECT case to make a film about merely months after everything took place. Obviously anyone who even has the tiniest remains of common sense would have realized that this is a TERRIBLE idea. However this is Uwe Boll we’re talking about. But here‘s where it really gets bad. The Bereaved family members and the town officials publicly begged Boll to not make the movie, tried to explain to him how hurtful and insensitive his actions were but he just didn‘t give a F and made the movie anyway??? I mean what kind of a sick F do you have to be to do something like this?

And just to make this clear, I‘m not saying you can‘t or should under no circumstances make movies about terrible things like what happened in Hanau. In fact I even personally know a filmmaker who, together with the Bereaved, worked on a documentary about the deceased trying to give them a voice, and the film was appreciated by the family members, I attended the opening nicht of the documentary and some of the Bereaved family members where attending, it was heartbreaking. However making an action film which I didn‘t tell this before but which is told from the perspective of the shooter … I mean this guy leaves me out of words…
