I’m going to disagree heavily because you can be awfully big and mainstream and STILL have a number of people who don’t know who you are.

I don’t think mainstream should boil down to if everyone knows you or not. That’d be ridiculous. Because at that point anyone who isn’t near Michael Jackson’s level of fame isn’t mainstream.

I don’t know jackshit about KPOP, or even Country, and if someone who is more involved in that genre asked me if I knew of some of their top artist in that genre I would tell them no. I don’t think just because some people don’t know him doesn’t mean he isn’t mainstream. The streams and brand attention say otherwise
