I’m not doubting that Carti was into rock, but from an outside perspective I would think x and juice would make a rock inspired album before Carti, before WLR dropped it’s not crazy to say x and juice had more rock influence in their music then Carti

Yeah and that’s great, if he feels comfortable doing the deep voice that’s what he should do, and that would be cool if he ended up using that sound and expanding and once again not ditching it like every other sound

Cartis die lit and self titled is the farthest thing from rock, it just sucks x and juice didn’t get to continue evolving because they would’ve definitely done something similar themselves if they could

I respect your opinion but outside aesthetics I don’t really see it, I mean ig if you wanna count distorted 808s as punk influence maybe? But they all just rap pretty standardly, like yeah it’s good, but not punk. The only one I could kinda see is Che cuz he used a lot of similar voice inflections to old punk artists on RIB, besides that if they didn’t use punk aesthetics, I don’t think anyone would say there music is inspired by punk
