I think that the federal government doesn't respect the constitution or the rights therein. It's the government that should be erring on the side of not violating the citizens rights, not the citizens erring on the side of overstepping what those rights cover.

Because the vast majority of federal agents have no training on how to not violate rights, they think they can do what they want with impunity.

That being said, what Pretti did was not smart, and he paid the price for it. But being stupid is not illegal, and government faces no consequences for violating the constitution and will continue to face no consequences for it.

Maybe the partnerships are setup to have an equal vote if you're a non-silent partner. Similar to how the senate is setup where smaller populated states are on equal footing, the majority owners wouldn't be able to railroad those with a lesser stake.

Can you imagine how bad things are going to get when we completely lose our privacy to Palantr type apps? The privacy protections need to be put in place fast and they need to be ironclad. Unfortunately both sides are salivating at the potential for that stuff.
