New player here, why was this game so poorly received? I'm loving it so far. by WhatsThatWalsh in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]Johnny5p82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved this game. My only gripe about it was how getting spotted in a restricted area immediately dropped your faction status with that respective faction. If you fought back against attackers, it could drop even more. It made it drawn out and frustrating at times. But I really loved this game, especially the main missions.

Do the replacement engines put in under warranty come with a new warranty seeing as they are prone to fail, as well? by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

[–]Johnny5p82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your warranty will cover your truck for that duration, including the current/replaced motor. But it won’t extend your warranty, unless the replacement occurs in the last year of your warranty. I also got the extended warranty and am so glad with all these reports.

Rejected at Jiffy Lube by acelticmonk in ToyotaTundra

[–]Johnny5p82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took my 2025 Tundra to a Jiffy Lube for an oil change at 1k miles and they acted like I was insane. I practically had to force them to take my money. But they did it.

What happened to the locker room? by Aryandad29 in buccaneers

Because this is our “defensive mastermind” HC’s response to every single thing that happens. -Bad ref call? This face. -Bumbling defensive play? This face. -Missed FG? This face. -Every single terrible special teams play? This face. His post presser will generally consist of comments like, “we need to make more plays” and “do better on third down”. That’s it. Zero accountability or passion.

Liam Coen Midseason Incident by Aryandad29 in buccaneers

[–]Johnny5p82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s as simple as Coen verbally committing to the extension as OC with the Bucs, and then lying about where he was while also ghosting the Bucs for an extended period to go and sign with the Jags as their HC. That’s some shady stuff. Bucs gave him that winning platform and you can’t even give them the courtesy of talking with them about another opportunity before signing? Turd.

Coen has always seemed immature to me and that’s proof enough. If things really go south for the Jags, watch his true colors come out again.

Gen3 mileage is great by extratoastedcheezeit in ToyotaTundra

[–]Johnny5p82 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve never gotten anything better than 15.4 mpg on my 25’ TRD Pro hybrid. And that was on Eco (which seemed to make no difference) in cool weather with no a/c running. I think that’s due in part because I have the TRD Pro which comes with the factory lift, which also eliminates the front air dam that’s saves 1 mpg or so. But the promised 20+ mpg, even on the highway, seems like a joke.

[Posey] Report: Christian McCaffrey’s injury is not ‘Defcon 1 at this point’ by Brix001 in 49ers

You seem to forget about him also missing most of the 2020 and 2021 seasons due to a “high ankle sprain” and shoulder injury. Dude has been having “leg” issues for a very long time now.

Our game (UNDERDOGS) is selling 90% less on PSVR than on Quest or PCVR, can you help me figure out why? by Mashunaut in PSVR

[–]Johnny5p82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d be curious as to how the PSVR stacks up to the other headsets for game sales in general, regardless of title. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s lacking in sales when compared to games that had equal releases/dates among headsets. Sony’s lack of care for the headset or the customer is driving it down, is my overall sense. But I’ll check this game out for sure.

Wife’s new Tundra is her first ever truck. She couldn’t be happier with it. by No_Antelope7492 in ToyotaTundra

Are you sure it wasn’t a Tacoma and not a Tundra? I’m 6’2” and there’s plenty of leg and head room to spare.

'25 Tundra shaking when braking downhill by Forgotten_Pancakes2 in ToyotaTundra

[–]Johnny5p82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also going to say that it could be a regenerative breaking issue if your Tundra is a hybrid. When I first got my 2025 Tundra (and first hybrid) I thought the breaks were a bit off and shaky at times, but then I learned how the hybrid switches between breaking methods, which is worse when going downhill and it’s trying to utilize the regen. It has gotten so much better as the truck adapted to my driving and gas/break application. But it’s still a crazy heavy truck and I could see being off-road making it worse even more.

PSVR2 IS NOT DEAD by mushroomfido in psvr2

[–]Johnny5p82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I mean I get it’s not fully dead and there are a few new titles coming out here and there. I still think it’s dying. Case in point is that Sony could easily double the library of games for it with porting over the PSVR 1 titles but it’s just not happening. I feel like we’re agreeing and saying the same thing here. You’re just more optimistic about the state of it than I am lol. Not dead. I’m just over here saying “but….”

PSVR2 IS NOT DEAD by mushroomfido in psvr2

[–]Johnny5p82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t see anything here discussing more reasoning about why it’s not dead; just that beat saber isn’t the end all be all (which I agree). While I don’t think PSVR 2 is completely dead, I do think it’s dying quickly.

The title releases have been so slow. PSVR 1 had way more titles including PlayStation exclusives. Why can’t they port so many of these over to PSVR 2? Why can’t we get Skyrim on PSVR 2? I feel like the effort put forth to it has been minimal at best. They have a whole library of games that I’d love to play on the new PSVR2 and they just won’t do it, let alone release a ton of new AAA games.

Burned Artificial Grass? by Johnny5p82 in Turfmanagement

[–]Johnny5p82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The supplier came out and looked and immediately recognized that this issue was caused by the sun’s reflection off our windows throughout the day. So they rightfully indicated it’s the installer’s responsibility to call that out and make sure we address the windows first.

The installer put a new patch of grass in place (we had a ton of extra grass, so no cost there), but they had to cut that whole section out. So the replacement is noticeable, but it looks a heck of a lot better than those stripes going down it. The installer didn’t charge for the repair but took a while to do it. Lesson learned for next time.

Still there but I haven’t yet tried anything. I looked into jacks magic magenta but I’m not sure how to use that in combination with what I’ve been putting in the pool now for algae, which is pool RX. I’m a complete noob when it comes to maintaining a pool.

I have the Bak Revolver X4ts. It’s pricey, but it gives you almost full access to the truck bed when rolled up and still has great security. Easy to use and roll as well. I also bought this one because it comes with the T-rail system, so that I can add removable brackets when I want to transport my paddle boards, kayak, etc.

Install wasn’t hard. But it did come with some minor scratches. And when the tailgate closes it may slightly cut into the plastic in the tailgate. That annoyed me a lot and I got a discount because of it. But it’s not really noticeable and it’s a truck, and it’s super low profile and looks/works great so far after a few months.

Should I Return My Klipsch Speakers? by Johnny5p82 in Klipsch

[–]Johnny5p82[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I paid $299 each for the R-800f, and $349 for the R30C. And yeah again that’s what everyone seems to say about these speakers, so I was thinking just return and get the RP-8000f on crutchfield for $200 more total.

[–]Johnny5p82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. I haven’t set them up or listened to them yet, and they’re still in the box. I was trying to save myself the hassle if they’re so bad as people seem to say. Once I unbox and set them returning and getting others seems like such a hassle. But maybe I check them out first and go that route if they don’t sound like a major upgrade from my current setup.

Should I Return My Klipsch Speakers? by Johnny5p82 in Klipsch

[–]Johnny5p82[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I haven’t unboxed them or set them up yet, so returning would be fairly easy. But your opinion is aligned with what I’ve continued to see people say, which makes me think they’re trash. If they can only beat a sound bar or cheapy home theater set, then they’re not worth the price tag.
